Cube Glitch - Clarification

Can someone - GM preferably - clarify the "PKing in Cube" situation.

I have heard from Sihndra her/himself that PKing is allowed in the entrance to cube, but not allowed to "grief lowbies", but then I have many people in-game saying that you're not allowed to PK at all.

Which one is right GM? And I still have the screenshot of Sihndra's words if you would like to see it.

Tbh I have seen that post before, and yet it still doesn't seem to sink in to people.

They even say that people have been banned for PKing and not griefing...

I'm already intent on believing that PKing IS allowed, just want GM clarification.

    Ty for replying though b:victory

I can tell you that YES people get banned, and I've had a number of people pissed at me because I've reported them. Untill a GM edits that post, or provides an update to say it's now allowed to spam AOE skills there repeatedly killing whichever mid lvl or low armored player I will continue reporting people that do it.

    You totally missed the point.
What you described is griefing - killing unsuspecting passing through the cube for fun without consent. What I want to know is is PKing allowed? Consentual PKing

Sorry, that I did miss; then yes I would imagine it to be allowed. That's almost the equivilent of a duel, just in a PK zone.

I wouldn't see any point in that being bannable in any way. Which Dvorak's post only talks about "greifing" were as two people just having a PK session against each other is not. That's pretty much what me and a few friends did, choose a random town that no one ever visits and just had it out free for all style. As long as you're not constantly killing the person for upped PK ranking even *consentual* then that would not be wrong.

But I understand you want an offical decision on it, but this is my two cents.

there's a difference between duels, pking, and "pking session...

Duels are fun fights between each other with some guidelines.

Pking would be going around killing any1 u can find..

Pking session? doesn't make sense. would just be a couple people fighting..

yesterday i had 2 level 70+ archers trying to PK me and I am lvl 42. people need to chill

Where in that room are players able to PK? Anywhere or just where players spawn?

If you decide to PK in that room, and someone get's caught in an AoE either by accident or otherwise, expect to be reported. It's a glitch, and there are other places to go PK in game making it unnecessary to PK in the first room of the cube.

I am curious about this too.

is it allowed to PK in Room 1 Cube. Without killing the same person over and over again?

The GMs took down their sticky addressing the glitch.

because its bugged and anyone can be pked in their, and that isnt supposed to happen, taking advantage of it would be exploiting a bug and on that grounds is bannable.

So rooms 14 and 34 make you automatically greifing since you can (and the goal IS to) PK anyone who enters whether in PvP or carebear.. nice logic you have there....

Many rooms of the cube are OPEN PvP zones.. meaning your PK mode status does not matter one bit, red, white, blue named players can kill and be killed alike... just because you PK a blue name doesn't constitute "griefing"....

I look at it this way, as you enter the cube you receive a warning that you have left a safe zone.. move a few feet and you get another message informing you that you have entered a safe zone.. for those messages to be there the small unsafe zone must be intentional and therefore not a glitch/bug as every non PvPer claims... if you don't like being PKed in the cube then STOP using it as a free teleporter...

That still doesn't solve the problem for some of us entering to play the cube or arena. :/ If it was intentional, they wouldn't be addressing this problem. Are there any open instances in the game where upon the loading screen, you're instantly outside of a safe zone?

There are pk enabled rooms in the cube, but those load instantly upon entrance.

So those PKers in the cube cry about getting told on cuz of something they shouldn't be doing. I also hear they cry too when they try to gang up on someone and that single person wipes the floor with them LOL! Then they go crying to their guild and put that person on their guild's hit list because 3 of those PKers got pwned by one person! Only in HT! b:chuckle

All it does dying at the entrance of the Cube is move you directly to the center. Yes those with charms take a click off your charms. You don't lose EXP so what is the big problem here?
I have been attacked there myself taken a few clicks off my charm would rather have been one shot and gone to the center but oh well things happen.
I have even by accident attacked someone there in fact today I hit someone when loaded in and clicked to move and shot the person instead...hehe
I don't see how it is "griefing" it's a one time thing you die go to center and continue on your business right? if you go back to same spot over and over again just to get killed numerous times then its your own fault.

It's curious the amount of high level players who try to argue it as perfectly reasonable. Methinks some ppl get bored easily.

It's abusing an unintentional glitch. Against the rules, get over it. If it was announced as perfectly intentional and a gameplay feature I'd agree that pk'ing there was perfectly fair, but that's not the case.
Also, is it true you don't lose exp? =o If that's the case I might pop in more regularly and go on a few reporting spree's >=)

Getting PKed by another player you do not lose EXP. and my whole point is why cry about it as griefing. there is no reason to whine and cry about it... This is a game I am pretty sure we play it to have fun. There are so many other issues out there and things you could consider griefing not being handled.

If I was a higher lvl and I was bored I wouldn't be lurking around secret passage or the cube. There's no point for me to do that. If I wanna PK I'll go to a PvP server. Now if I was a higher lvl and a friend of mine got PKed by people exploiting the glitch in the cube, I'd have no problem going in there with several friends and getting payback. Muahahahahaha! b:chuckle

    Me confirms your thinks...

Don't lose EXP in any PvP... unless of course you're kind enough to let a mob get the last hit when they're not carrying dolls... lol

Yeah. I sometimes play with two characters (one on a laptop). When you enter a new zone like an FB or the Cube, your character appears inside the moment the loading screen pops up. The entire time you're waiting for the zone to load, your character is already there, uncontrolled.
