Can't connect to server

My game worked fine last night, but this morning it will not connect to the server. My internet is fine, which is why I can post this message, but I can't start the game and I don't know why. I tried to verify files but it has to be connected to do that so that won't work. I tried reinstalling the last patch but since I can't remove it first it won't let me. I know the servers aren't down because my roommate is playing as I type this.

I don't know what's going on, but I want to play and can't abide the idea of re-downloading the whole game as my internet is already unbearably slow. It would literally take me days. Please somebody help!

    Im getting the same message "connecting to server". After about a min or two it just says update failed, try other update server. Then Im able to just start the game normally. Im wondering if anyone else can get this far.

    Still cant complete the update. I can start the game but is it safe without updating?

    still..cannot..and its not the patcher..sometimes happened..and i'm so pissed..its been like thiss all... day..b:angry..and i don't think its my net..'cause it worked perfectly today..so..what its goin' on?

    The problem that some people have is that when you resolve the address to the update server, it gives you a bad IP address.

    You can force the address to point to a good IP address. If you add read the what I reply 5 seconds ago your problem would have been fixed already ...

    The issue was resolved. I was in the game and playing with no problem.

    I set up shop while I was cleaning my house. Came back and the game was crashed. And now I am having the same issue I had this morning.

    We know you guys are working on the issue. But It makes us all so SAD. This is the 1st game I have enjoyed since silkroad and fiesta.

    Try running Verify, and check to see that your firewall or antivirus hasn't made a change if the patch servers IPs changed.
    Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

    ok, so worked for a while, but keeps dc'in me..and when i try to relog he cannot connect to server.the network its workin proprely, so i think its cause of game..sorry for all posts..i made today, but it kinda pisses me..b:sad

    Same here, Click Icon to start game, it says updating server, then says Connection Failed, please update from other server. But after it does that it still lets me log in & play. I never had these issue's for the past 5 months, why now ? Would like some answers please ?

    And I have re-stalled 2 to 3 times completely, verify game every other day. Usually problems like this that go unfixed will lead to bigger problems later down the road. Please GM's some info or at least some comfort in the fact you are fixing this issue.

    Mine started working again just before noon, but I'm so addicted I just started playing and forgot to post and say that my problem was resolved lol. Thanks PWI people for fixing it! :) Hope everyone else's is working now too.
