Which is better Zerk or Gloom

How often does Gloom and Zerk get activated, and which does more damage?
PS. which has better damage when their addons get activated (Crit and Non crit)?
the lv70 legendary axes wid zerk
Or
the lv90 hh wid gloom

    personally i prefer gloom, i don't like losing 5%of my hp
    but its less dmg,

    Theres a reason why calamities are 5m and the LG cudgel molds go for 150k. Well, it has to do with fb79 being easy, but that isnt the point.

    Most axe bms, and barbs prefer calamities and GX axes. Zerk does a ton of damage, 1 hit some robes with em. Gloom is decent if you're poor. Never had a zerk axe before, but it has around a 20% chance of activating.

    Having owned a set of calamitys, I'll say this:

    Calamitys do awesome damage. Berserk activates a little 'too often' imho. Oh its great from a PvP standpoint, but awful while grinding or anything else. A zerk in tigerform is like 550HP right off (for me anyways). Now 4 to 5 zerks in a row (happens often) is 20% HP right off. With more than one mob on you thats a charm tick (I was ticking even with sunder and pots at times).

    The added HP on the 70 XS is nice though, but again using them in FBs or TTs is a additional 550 damage you take too often.

    Now if you're comparing HH90 gloom and 70XS Id say with the same amount of refining the HH90s gloom would do almost the same damage as the 70XS imho (though I've never owned a gloom wep, I'm told it adds about 30% more damage and doesnt occur as often as beserk).

    Ofcourse if you were comparing GXs with HH90 glooms then yes the GXs would win hands down for damage.

    gloom isnt what most people think, its a self buff that lasts between 7-10 seconds, it increases attack anywhere from 25-35%, AND it stacks, (not damage, but length of buff) TT80 gold > GX imo, steady damage is better for pvp than relying on a random spike on a certain skill.

    the chance is 15%, so its almost like +15% critical hit rate O.O (except that it IS possible to crit AND zerk at the same time)

    Gloom doesn't stack. GX sheits on HH80 gold axe. You realise, even without the berserk, GX does more DPS. You're dumb.

    oops? did i say TT80 gold is better than GX? my bad, i meant TT90 green axes, rofl. in PvP on pw i found its better to ahve a steadier DPS than a luck hit here and their, and yes, gloom does stack, ive tested it.
