Starting out, I've allotted myself 100 bucks for a year. Which would be the best class to spend that on so that I can get to the upper levels the quickest and start grinding for the rest of my gold? I'm thinking veno... (too bad $100 isn't enough for a phoenix or herecules :(

100 bucks isn't getting you anywhere.

Go make a veno and grind money for a herc, then you're good.

guessing Teny meant do a veno and dont use the money, save to hercules/phoenix in coin (you can buy gold with coin).

Ahhh, and do you agree? Or would it be faster to use it to level faster so I can get to the farming levels faster?

PS and does anyone else think it's rediculous that I can't buy a nix for $100 bucks straight from the cash shop without having to do all that feather ****? Only game I know of that has such expensive items in the cash shop. Most games, *$20* bucks will get you quite far. This one, a 100 is barely a drop.

Two things you don't really have to have, but you'll absolutely want to enjoy this game (that you won't be able to use till at least lvl20):

Land mount (absolutely essential for making money gathering mid-mats and can pay for itself in 4-8 hours)
Max'd cash shop flying aero/beast/wings (fly where you need to go FAST, unless you're incredibly patient)

Two things that will prove very useful but aren't necessary:

    Super inventory ext stone.
    Bank extension stone.

If you're going to be Veno:

A nix will do more for you from lvl 1-50-ish, but in your 60's you can start soloing HH with a Herc. A herc can generally pay for a nix in the long run... can't really say the same the other way around.

You get 2 pet slots with quests easily obtainable for 3 more. If you expect to have more than 4 pets, a super cage stone would be nice, but a bit unnecessary. First quest 20 hay (farmable by lvl20-30), 2nd quest 50 fruit (level 50-ish), 3rd quest 100 fungus (lvl 70-ish)... but of course you can always buy the mats, so unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket, you can pretty much avoid it.

Otherwise, save your money. You don't really need any of it untill about lvl 30.

I dont think this game is worth spending money on it... those 100 bucks could last almost a year in a p2p game, this game is to waste 50 bucks a month, considering events, the need for charm (one charm can last 3 hours top in a zen party) and refining. Theres actually no "fast" way to get higher lvl.
If you consider the benefit of selling gold its about 130k each gold, which means HH mats cost 300-500k depending...
Maybe Herc would be worth getting, but yet it wont be a skyrocket fly to high lvl, venos after 70-80 are slow levellers.

Actually there is. Gather all your quests, finish them and turn them in at the same time (travel permitting). Solo all of your quests if you can... avoid squads at all costs. If you're questing on mobs that give good xp, drops or both, keep grinding them for 1/2 hr or longer after you reach your quota.

When you can afford it, though not really necessary at low levels, mijis (xp scrolls), and charms can help you mow through mobs, especially at lower levels.

The worst thing you can do is have someone help you finish your quests, because higher levels or just being in squad cuts the xp you'll receive. My main I levelled to 7 or 8 in one sitting, my next two alts got from 1-13 (archer) and 1-17 (veno) in less than 6 hrs. One girl in my faction spent about 3 days and got to her mid 30's, but she was a PW-MY veteran.

I'd buy an L30 flyer and up with with widgets. I haven't done the math on the exact cost of maxing each flyer's speed but I have Israfel and it's 80 + 80 widgets to upgrade it, so that's $14.40 USD extra to max it out. That's for L30, swift and crimson cost only half that to upgrade as far as I know, but you have to wait 20 extra levels to use them (upgrading speed does NOT lower level requirement like a land mount does). It's up to you. A flyer is invaluable IMO so I'd go with the L30 flyers for that reason, and when you hit 50 trade/sell your L30 if you want swift/crimson and get them then.

If you really want to make the money stretch, then avoid anything that can be interpreted as a vanity item. Never buy clothes, flyers, mounts, or misc stuff that doesn't directly affect character play.

Getting the character build guides and carefully studying the implications of different build types will prevent you from ever needing reset stones. Don't invest stat points unless you understand exactly how your char build works.

Having one craft is valuable, more is a liability, either way buying a super inventory stone really helps you carry mats and drops. With that, you can avoid the super safe stone and just get the first two in game safe expansions by trading DQ drops.

Never do Dragon Quests, most of your cash flow will come from selling DQ drops in your catshop for 150 to 200% of face value, maybe even more. Pay attention to mobs that drop DQ items often and farm them until you are +5 levels, at+6, move on to other mobs. At +3 to +5 you are losing 10% of all normal drops, and it gets worse as your level rises.

Most char's, fighters especially, spend a lot on equipment repair, veno's don't. My veno has a net positive flow of potions, and sells them regularly. Veno's need a lot of cash for pet skills, but generate cash better than anyone else. They are also pretty fun to play and pet control is an elegant skill.

If you are going to have a variety of pets you will have to break down and get the super cage. This isn't required, but it really helps. The tradeoff is you can't keep a bunch of pets trained to your level if you are doing quests, and you can't level quickly if you are avoiding quests while you train pets. Your general limit is 1 flyer, 1 water, and 2 land pets. Any others will be much lower level, which isn't always a bad thing, especially if you want to use them to capture rare pets.

Fast transportation doesn't really become a big issue until you start World Quest at level 70. It's nice to have before then, but with patience you can live without it. You could still avoid this by having an elf with maxed flying speed as an acceptable tradeoff.

If you have 3 or more kill quests in the same area, it is worth buying a Training Esoterica and doing them all while it lasts. If you have time left over, keep grinding for the best DQ drops. Remember your catshop is your profit friend. Sell nearly everything you aren't going to keep there unless it is real junk.

While dying regularly or often allows you a chance to earn extra Spirit, not dying lets you gain levels faster, and I find that my veno died least often of all my char's.

I'm out of time and I hope these suggestions help. I can't argue with the earlier poster who said a mount pays for itself eventually, but I don't agree with him either. If the stuff you are gathering has good value and you can get enough, he may be right.

OW CMOM! FIRST ITS A GAME!!! and u can go TT in ur 60;s even without a herc. whats the fun of game if all u get if bought fOR cash -.- and u wont lv SO MUCH FASTER too ;p still just start a game and check if u like it at all.

True veno is the easiest. but no need to spend so much money for it
