questions to tree of protection

I have a question to the genie skill, Tree of Protection ^^
it has a bug as far as i have seen, and they re not debugging it, they're changing the text, so it won't be this nice as it sounds in description.
my question is, this skill heals at total 40% and while i am fighting 80%.
does the healing increase when i upgrade the skill or what else does change while upgrading this skill.
shall i skill this skill for a mage?
i am a mage, and my genie has the following skills:
searing heat, thunderstorm
and it will get:
extreme poison and tree of protection.
u think these are good genie skills to support a mage?
and what increases when these skills are upgraded?

    Maybe you are thinking of Healing, that's the healing skill that is bugged. Tree of Protection is fine as far as I know.

    I asked in faction chat and here are a few suggestions from a level 76 and a lvl 80 wizard:

    Healing is bugged, Tree isn't.

    What you'll get out of tree is a 25% heal every 3 seconds.

    Each rank of tree increases your max hp. Say you have 1000 hp (just for an easy number to work with). At level 1 of tree you'll get a 15% hp boost for 5 seconds. So you'll have 1150 hp, after 3 seconds you'll get 25% of that for 287.5 hp, and after 3 more seconds you'll get 25% of 1000 (since the max hp fades after 5) for another 250. So you would get 537.5 hp. If you take your genies dex to 40, the max hp will last for 6 seconds, so you'll get 575 hp. If you had a genie with 40 dex and a level 10 tree (takes 130 energy) you would get a 65% hp boost so 1650 hp for 6 seconds, with a 25% heal every 3, for a max of 412.5 every 3, and 825 total.

    Searing heat? Thunderstorm? You must be joking. We wizards deal enough damage with our own skills. Better choose something to support you. Tree is a must IMO, already saved my life and exp with it. It heals me from 8XX to full 23XX. Extreme poison is also good, but not a must have since nearly everyone will have it, and people eventually will learn some anti-ExtP skills. After that, frenzy will be better. Wiz can do wonders with chi, so i think of some chi skill. Cloud eruption or may be essence penetration. And those wiz-only skills... aquaflame armor seems pretty good.
