Messed up my FB19

Alright, basically, I asked some people to help me with my fb19, which they did, but like I didn't know you had to be the squad leader in order to gain anything from the quest, so I didn't gain anything. Plus, like I didn't accept the other quest that specifically asks you to kill like the regular monsters there (not Throm) until after. So now I'm tabletless.

Yes, I know, epic fail. :|

My question is this, should I just give up on this game now? Am I even going to be able to continue the story? I'm guessing I can if I finish the quest to kill the regular monsters (Molten Chrysalids and something else), but the thing is, I'm only level 23 so I obviously can't do it by myself and someone told me that since I'm tabletless, no one is going to want to help.

So basically, should I quit playing this game? Am I completely ****ed? :|

Its fine. It sucks but you have not screwed yourself completely. If you tag along on someone elses FB you cna get your credit for the boss. And you can get the mobs at the same time.

But even if you don't. It is not a deal breaker. You dont have to do your FB's to continue with the game. Your Spiritual Cultivation is by far the most important quest chains for you to finish. I have taken my Veno to her mid-50's and still have not done any of my FB's. I got all my tabs and have just been banking them. Just as an experiment.

The only thing you miss out on from not doing the additional Mob quest for your FB is your glowy weapon. It is a very nice weapon, but the one you get from your level 20 stash box is not so bad either. So, if you wanna go back in and do that quest, it is optional also.

FB's get screwed up all the time. Its nothing others have not had to deal with. A good group would have taken you back through again to kill the boss with you in lead. but, sometimes you dont get groups like that.

    Good luck
Don't let my level confuse you. I've done this before.

    what server are you on?
if it's Heaven's Tear I can do it for you.

If you can't find anyone who wants to help, maybe you can join in with someone else who still has a tab and needs the quest done.
if you find a good guild I bet they'll do it for you too or take you on someone else's fb19..

don't stop playing the game because of this (it would be silly, it takes ~1 week to get a char to your lvl, you can always make a new one...)

but what can't be is that your tab disappeared. you can only insert the tab if you're squad leader, and as soon as you switch leadership the quest fails and you get the tab back.

Edit: someone was faster than me again D:

If you're on Sanctuary I can help you. You don't "need" to do the FB's in order to continue the story. I know of people 80+ that still have FB 39 tabs

Alright, that's quite a relief, thank you for the info, you guys. : )

Flauschkatze - Yeah, I have a feeling I completed the actual quest in terms of beating Throm itself, if the tab would have come back otherwise, but since I didn't accept the one for the mobs until after, I guess I'll have to go back and do that at some point. Ah well. :/

Is the glowing weapon like particularly strong or does it just, you know, look cool? Haha

Unfortunately, I'm on Dreamwaver, but I really appreciate the offers.

I'm quite relieved I don't necessarily need to start over again, or quit. :)

    Thanks again for the info.

The glowy weapon is strong. It would normally last you till about level 30...give or take, and whether or not you find a better one. You can live without it though.

But, even at level 23....I think that is what you said, I would not try to go in alone to get the mobs. It would be too tough. Maybe if you were charmed you could pull it off. But I would say it is not worth dieing for.

Sorry, I don't have any toons left on DW, otherwise I would be willing to help too.

This is a common misperception. You get two quests to kill Throm (or any of the FB19 bosses). The most important to you is the one that you are thinking of as the one for the mobs. This one you get from the Elder and it has two phases. First, you have to kill the mobs inside the FB and that triggers phase 2 - Kill Throm. The other quest is triggered by talking to the pillar inside the FB when you have the Call to Duty quest (and the tablet associated with that quest). That quest only rewards the members of your squad who are not leader.

Since most people do the pillar right at the beginning, they see a quest pop up which says Kill Throm. No matter how much you try to explain to them that they need to watch the count of mobs, they often get caught up in the rush and jump straight to the fact that they see a quest for Throm.

Waiting for the pillar in the room with the boss is a good way to avoid this confusion.
