Game now crashes since Genie patch

Hello, I am not sure about everyone else but ever since the patch for genies, my game has been crashing. I never had an issue with crashes before. When it does crash I get a submit error bug report screen. It ask for my role name, username and email. I do not want to give this information out as it is pertinent information that may give unwanted access into my account. Anyway, I get a list of log files at the bottom with some strange characters above them as well in the report bug screen. Anyone else having this problem and if so, did you find a resolution?

I just hit cancel and go on with my day. :P[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Yeah, it's me. Don't read to much into it, though; I'm only here for myself now, killin' time and chillin' when need-be. So sue me. Tch...0 -
I am also getting crashes after this patch came out. I never before got crashes just disconnects every rare moment. I was setting up my shop in west arch and after like 1min to maybe 10mins I get crashed. Remind you this is crashing with errors and not just disconnecting. This is getting annoying since I can not setup shop before I go to bed or go out.0

I too am experiencing game crashes/freezes constantly since the genie update. I've never had this problem before and am truelly over it!
It would be nice to get some sort of feedback from GMs about this issue that seems to be quite wide spread. For me its taking the shine off the update and has diminished my game enjoyment to the point of looking for something else to do...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I have 2 identical machines with identical problems. They are running 32 bit XP, that are slow, but never crashed before. Now, in windowed mode the actual window disappears, and in task manager the "Application" is gone, but also in task manager the "process" elementclient.exe is still running, and using the CPU at max, and using 7x the memory it was using before. This seems to be a memory leak. I tried it in full screen, and after awhile it just literally freezes entirely (also seems like a memory leak, but because its in full screen it can't just disappear.
I have another machine with vista, and on it, I get the hard crash after awhile, with the "report an error" window and the logs listed. Also after i click cancel on it, the elementclient.exe process is still running, and using the CPU at max, and going to my systems limit on RAM.
It has become impossible for me to maintain vendors now...0 -
I haven't even been able to download the patch b:cry
The furthest I've been able to get is maybe 25% (probably more like 18%). I'm losing out on my daily exp quests b:angry stupid genie pack... I don't even know what the damn things look like yet b:angryb:angryb0 -
I am having the same problem. I crashed 5 times while in cat shop mode in arch during that first day and have not bothered to log back in since. I wonder how long before they make the game stable again. I guess I will just try again each week on patch day. Until then, no PWI for me.0

The exact same thing is hapening to my machines.
I get a "low virtual memory" then the pc's run verry slowly untill I shut down "elementclient.exe" in the task manager.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

There are 5 or more threads regarding the crashes from this latest patch.
Can a moderator consolidate them and make a sticky until this issue is resolved?
This isn't a run of the mill inconvience bug, this is making the game outright unplayable for a lot of people.
Thankyou.0 -

I was helping you to locate the 5 separate threads in question, that are all concerning the same issue.

im also experiencing this problem happens on both my machine dell inspiron 2200 laptop win xp 32 bit and my pc. both are running windows with 18 processes i had no problem until now but while in cat shop crashes with error then it says virtual memory to low. i never experianced this in last patch so its a game error obviously. i have 2gb of ram, why is it even using virtual memory? At idle my pc use 120 mb of ram and with this game running usally still under a gig o and btw with 2gb ram the page file on my machine is set to 2gb so i dont see how the client ate up 4 gb0

I am having problems that make the game unplayable since the Genie patch.
I am on a Gateway GM5266E: Intel dual core 6400 and an Nvidia Geforce 9800GT with 1 gb of memory on the video card and 4 in the computer.
The games starts Ok but as soon as I start fighting mobs the video gets choppy and soon the game won't respond to controls other than mouse clicks to run. When I click to run to a certain spot the character will run to the spot and immediately start turning back and forth.0
