Okay, so i just started, and I have been pondering what manufacturing skill to get. Anyway, here we go!!!
  1. What is the most common manufacturing skill learned?
  2. What is the least common manufacturing skill learned?
  3. What is the best manufacturing skill?
  4. Which is most worthwhile?
  5. Which is easiest?
  6. Which is hardest?
I've been thinking about either Apothecary or Tailor/Blacksmith.
  7. Are certain manufacturing skills better for some classes than others? If so, which skill is best for whom?

Thanks alot.

    1) probably apothecary
    2) i'd guess the other three run a close race.
    3) no "best". Depends what you want out of it.
    4) Apoth will keep you from buying pots. Black/Tailor will allow you to make your own TT/Leg stuff if you have no friends to do it for you. Craft makes some nice rings which are useful
    5) apoth
    6) blacksmith
    7) not really. If you want to make your own arrows, craftsman is better for archers. otherwise it's all pretty much the same.

I'd like to disagrees on question 5.

IMHO it's not the Blacksmith which is "hardest", but the Tailor. Albeit, hardest is the wrong word (and albeit probably is too). Most expensive in terms of materials I would have said.

If you need just one set of materials to manufacture the only one weapon that you need with the blacksmith, it takes you five sets of materials to manufacture five different armour parts. Five times material costs considering that the first run will not be the 3star "super awesome" piece of kit you hoped for, hat's gonna hurt your wallet.

Blacksmith level 4 will be harder (in terms of your material requirements) than level 4 tailor.

Ah yes, it seems we just disagree on "hard" (as well as what question was #5 apparently). It is far more difficult to make anything useful with tailor. Tailor is the only craft where you can make something that is actually worse than merchant gear, assuming you place importance on having your 5 resists.

I was more speaking to what Dioica pointed out: the cost associated with the materials is much higher for level 4 quest and frankly ridiculous for level 6 blacksmith.

As far as the other comment, I don't assume someone will be making all five pieces from the tailor. Quest rewards and eventually mold stuff. Certainly if you are going to attempt all 5 pieces until you have something great will be way more expensive than making one weapon until it's great.

youll need lvl 6 for 87+ gear including tt90, so idk what you mean about not making all 5 pieces because of quest rewards/mold
blacksmith sucks cause you wont make anything sellable, tailor something might actually be better then TT and youll need tailor most often easier to find someone once for a wep then someone 5 times for tailor, and craftsman has decent odds plus 2 of the items are rings which people mass craft anyways but fewer people need high lvl craftsman
