Genie Question. Decomposing.

Hi. I've read the f.a.q.s and I know that I can decompose my genie. But I haven't found the answer to this yet.

I'm a mage and I got a strength genie.

If I decompose it will I be able to do the quest again right away and get a different one?

    Thank you! I know we can buy others, but for this noob, 3 mirage stones just aren't there yet :)
