Genies: Looks or skill

Well with the release of the genies there now four new awsome looking genies, each with its own looks and a unique skill, so it the first skill important or do you just go for looks?

    All first skills sucks, except may be Longevity's one - but clerics already have 30% mdef debuff, so it does not matters. Stats, though, do. "Strengh" genie (purple one) is most useless, 'cause str bonus goes nowhere. In fact, i have some thoughts about nuking genie, but this build is certainly not common-useful even if it render viable at all; dex & mag is the way to go. So, Longevity or Zeal. Discipline is also good with little added vit, and it looks just plain COOL - main reason why i've chosen it ^__^

    If the skills are good, I dont care if its a peice of **** flying around my head and glowing. I go for the skills, atm they are decent enough. b:chuckle

    Is certain genie build specific beneficial for certain class?

    The one on my cleric (pink) is purely for looks...

    The others on veno (also pink) & barb (orange) are actually used... (shields & hp regen skills).


    I would love to make the cleric pixie useful... but I have noresources to lvl it up... It already ate a bunch of my exp... I was stuck on the same lvl for 4 days!

    i went for the look, i got the green one; had to summon it. i deleted the initial skill, and got tree of protection instead, which seems to be good enough to save me sometimes. except for the rainbow blessing i don't think i'll get another skill. i'll add points only on vit, so my Longevity genie will worth it's name. lol. i don't think adding dex nor mag is worth...

    indeed is kinda hard to lvl them up, not only with exp or sp, but also with exp cubes; i got a few from my other chars that i'm not using anymore, though the lvl gap penalty is too high, for a decent upgrade. i think the best way to lvl them up is by using exp and this way imma get more sp for a lvl on my char. true, more grinding; i had to grind since lvl 12, but this adds some challange to the game. lol

    My full str genie can 1 hitted another cleric lvl 40ish full mag =)), it hit for 1k5 damage in PVE, that's not bad at all
    but yea, I would rather go for their buff, debuff, they got nice skills though ;)
