Everyone in my guild randomly have client crash.
regardless fly high above the sky doing nothing just traveling.
shopping in arch.
searching thru AH.
or simply just chatting with friends.

have over 30 people in FL, I see they going offline, online often.

Its obvious there PWI dont know what cause these memory problem and all you clients / customers are going DC for no good reason.

As I see it, game start memory around 300mb used.
In like an hour takes up to 1.4GB memory used..

Since Dev cant fix the problem just roll back the patch so at least we can stay online and play ???????????????????????????

OR should we start looking for new game ????

These are not new issues. A rollback wouldn't BEGIN to fix it...

Even if this is a problem, they wont roll back the server just to keep a few people.

You don't need to rollback a patch to fix a memory leak issue.
Rolling back this patch will cause a LOT more problems for the company.

So true lol. Can you imagine how many more players would get angry if they lose exp, sp, items due to rollback?

see this part? that means its an ISP in florida, run a ****ing tracert and see how long it takes you to connect to www.perfectworld.com, if you have a really high ping/takes a long time, its probably a jack up somewhere in FL's internet service, not the game >_>

Rollback won't fix it ... They have to patch it ..

I've had random client crashes too, before this patch, on both my old and new PC.

This is definitely not a new issue.

No, it's not a new issue, it's a PC issue.

My client has run stable and fine from the get-go, and I've never had problems.

If you're having memory leak issues, or lag, or whatever, it's most likely on your end.

You might even have to stop your torrents and close internet explorer before playing. :O

i think this is an issue that has increased after the recent patch. i might have dced a few times before the patch but now, i have lag spikes and constant dcing and a bug report pops up. even when i closed the game client, it is still running in the background hence draining more memory. i think that is what causes the client to crash so frequently after the patch. unless you restart your computer, even if u close the game client, it is still running in the background. b:angry

i have several computers that runs the game too and all of the bug reports and client crashes started after the recent patch. no its not my computers, its newly purchased and updated. please fix the memory leak issue.

Memory leaks and internet related lag don't overlap.
Memory leaks are a result of.. hmm.. in simpler words... "borrowed memory" (AKA your RAM... ) which isn't returned to the operating system, or is not "collected"...
So if PWI is the program in question, it is essentially "borrowing" memory from your computer to run its processes, but not returning it to the operating system, thus the operating system is registering that part of memory to be used, and it continues to build up until your operating system craps out and says "We're out of memory here! Help!".

I'm playing this game since December 2008 since i started i got DC'ed like what 2 times ? (It wasn't crashing at all) since the genie patch game crashes every 2 hours when in arch and considering that i spend 70% of my in game time at Archosaur it's pretty bad for me ...

Anyways there are lots people complaining about this.

Interesting, I just shut the game down, waited a couple minutes, and tried to start it again. The patcher said, client running unable to proceed with update. Went into the task manager, the process was still there.

This is actually part of the memory leak. Others have noticed it as well. Personally, I checked it yesterday evening after having the game running for approx. 8 hours and found that over 75% of my physical memory and and 45% of my cpu usage was going to the perfect world game client, even after I shut it down. I can only imagine what it was taking before hand. I manually killed the client and everything droped into normal ranges (4% cpu, 20% physical memory for my comp).

Other issues being caused by this is machine heat up. It's causing the computers to work harder and is making them heat up, thus reducing their efficiency even more!

I'm sure that it's being addressed, but it sure couldn't hurt if a bunch of us were to submit tickets about the issue.
