Which is better, The general Summer Bow or the Penetrator bow?

    Penetrator is ridiculously expensive in Heaven's Tear, such that it is completely not worth it.

    General Summer's Bow is a good bow unto itself. It may not be as good as Penetrator, but it *so* much cheaper.

    Is the Penetrator you have your eyes on refined? My +4 penetrator with flawless garnets pooped all over the TT60 (un -or low- refined) even. I used the TT60 for a while til I realised my bow was better. If you can get a refined one for less than 4 million then I would go for it because it lasted me until level 69 (when I got wind and clouds - which (unrefined) isn't that much better than the Penetrator I had).

    If you buy one make sure its like the one I had:

    At least +4 refined.
    +9 dex bonus (some are only +8)
    2x flawless shards

    Use it right up to level 69 and laugh at all the silly green crossbows..b:chuckle

    I was actually Looking at the mold from the Dragon Quest Director. Is it worth it though?

    Ah, then there are a few points to consider:

    There will be extra cost for refining it (to at least lvl 4) if you want it to last through many levels (although it is a worthwhile refine since it lasts so many levels - some people actually refine the TT60 which they only use for 8 levels).

    There will be extra cost for putting shards in it.

    You can't guarantee that the dex bonus will be +9.


    In my opinion, a good, refined penetrator is the best archer weapon until lvl69 -in terms of effectiveness (especially if you are maxing your crit) and prestige (everyone will whisper "nice bow" to you).

    But the General Summer's is a great bow too - with no cost.

    To spend or not to spend. That is the question.......

    Always keep in mind that if you want any of the Supply Box rewards over 50, you'll be getting the bow no matter.
