hello everyone

i played Silkroad for like 3 years , i gave away al my characters because the game is DEAD , prices in game are veryyy high , 99% of ppl bots , the game is just full of botter/scammers/gold sellers

so i was thinking about moving from Sro to runes of magic or perfect world...

DOWNLOADING PWI atm

i read a few guides , money making , class ect...

i think imgonna start as a venomancer ( ppl say they are the fastest lvlers , and easy to plau )

anyway ...

ive got couple of questions

1. are there BOTS ( who will ruin this game eventually ) ??
2. ive seen some gold selling sites for PWi , i know its not legal but is that gonna ruin the game too ??
3. when did this game started ?
4. guys , pls tell me on what PVE server to play on ^^

thats all

There are gold farmers, there are botters. It's a mmo. That much can't be avoided.

I played SRO for a bit, the problems there have not infested PWI so far. Its true theres probably botters/gold farmers around but not like SRO.

    1. Yes there are bots, but somehow they are kept at a base minimum, or no one really talks about them

    2. There were some gold sellers in the past, but since the GMs have decided to ban accounts for large sum transfers between 2 accounts (without previous notice), think gold selling got a bit complicated

    3. September the 2nd 2008

    4. Heavens Tear has the biggest player base, Sanctuary is following up, and Dreamweaver is the youngest of the 3, but is located on the east coast (while HT and Sanct are on the west coast). Feel free to join any of them, as there is no actual difference beyond the numbers

    1. Last time i saw a bot was about 3 months ago. And he didn't survive longer than a day.
    2. I dont really know, but i doubt it.
    3. PWI started erm, i think about 1.5 years ago (correct me if i'm wrong pls), i dont remember the exact date. But the P2P version (Chinese) started about 5 years ago. There are other F2P version also of Perfect World, that are older than PWI. I've played a few of them, and i think PWI is the best one.
    4. I play on Heaven's Tear, as my name suggests to the left of my post. Its the oldest PVE server.

    thx for the info

but last question about gold buying

i saw this post on the MONEY MAKING HOW TO DO IT thread

This is how you make money O.o. Take your parents (or your) credit card ((with permission ofc)) and buy 10 gold. on myserver 150k is a fast gold sell and 180k or so is slower, but look thats 1.5m to 1.8m pretty fast at a

    RELATIVELY cheap cost.
i mean if u r young, do chores around the house for 10 bucks, if you are older get a job O.o. or if you live by yourself decide if you want to make PWI a place to put your money.

CAUTION: It's addicting to buy gold. Im 16 and i have my own credit card and I have bought about $100 worth of gold lolz. but i have a job and no bills so it works.

1 more thing: If u buy gold buy about 20 teles and comment nice or funny (but not crude) things over wc when a high level person talks. Sometimes they can become your friend (i have 6 60+ and like 10 40+ friend on my list at level 30). They wont get you money (sometimes they will, though) but they can help u with quests, introduce u to more people, or watch your back once you hit 30. I sold a gold hp charm to a person i saw on wc alot before and she was like wewt! *friend invite* and then introduced me to half if not more of the level 6x+s i know.
Btw: Share the money (a little) when you buy gold. if a friend is like IM POAR, party up with him and drop 100k. he will get 50k and he will be like wow thx *+10 friendship points*
Alright i hope some people read this. i hope i didnt just waste my timeb:chuckle

Oh, and one more thing, for the people who just CAN'T do this, just wait a little bit. For those parents that r like "no rawr" just drop hints and show that you are really interested in the game and i believe (eventually) they will let you get $10 worth of gold.

Good luck. I hope this has made you realize 10 gold is an investment into an easier playing time :).

umm , gold buying = legal in PWI ???

Just to clarify. Cash shop "currency" is called gold. Ingame money is called coins. What the person spoke of in the quote you made is perfectly legal, in fact, its the only legal way to buy gold.

Just to clarify futher. You dont actually buy gold, you buy "Zen". Then you convert zen into gold that you can use in the game to buy from the cash shop.

Gold in this game refers to the cash shop currency. Coins is the ingame currency, and even that is legal since there is an ingame auction house that allows u to buy coins with gold (cash).

why do u have to convert it to gold in order to buy ? cant u just buy with zen ?
and i heard about the term Silver , so whats the difference between gold and silver ?

No, you buy the Zen with your real money, then convert it into gold which is used in game with the cash shop.

    Example: $10 = 1000 Zen = 10 gold

Silver is just like the cents to dollars. You buy something that is 50 silver with your 10 gold, you now have 9 gold 50 silver. There is an in game auction house that you can use can use your coin to buy gold from other players, but not silver.

    1 gold = 1 dollar
    silver= 1 penny
cost about 125k coins per gold depending on server.

Anything bought from the cash shop can be sold to players for coin.

Same, I played SRO for over 3+ years...only kept playing for my friends and pvp. I started this past December and have only witnessed 2 bots, both of which were banned. Gold selling spammers are almost immediately banned as well..as you know can be more irritating than the bots themselves.

I tried to restart again for 100 cap, got bored and left my character at lvl 91@71% with premium plus and devil spirit. Also you cant jump or fly and damn annoying trying to press space bar and nothing happens lol.

PVP might not be as good, I miss my knockdowns, and stabs (china nuker) but the community is so much better here. I've yet to have someone try to scam or beg for stuff. For the most part the people are so much more intelligent.

Quests are varied and give good exp, not kill 5,000 mobs for 1%. Daily quests help alot, though this is still a grind fest later on (it is an MMO). Better and more events, not like SRO's that give jewel boxes for more dodge scrolls.

Oh and NO alchemy system...the crafting is nice, being able to make your own gear. You can still +++ stuff but its not nearly as painful when it fails.

Hoped this helped..PWI certainly broke me of my former addiction.

I have seen a few bots, even saw a gm check out a bot then the botter disappear, but then to see the person 2 days later in town. So maybe the gms would like to explain the ban lengths of people caught botting, in the LC forums there was a video posted of a 9x botting away and I still see them flying around, is this not a perm ban offense ?

    2 days ban for botting.

In harshlands a high level player was caught and proven to be botting, he got a 2 day ban and that's it.

I'd say the only let down with perfect world is the mods/admins

Sigh, that would be about right, nevermind the people that slave for hours when someone can afk the same amount of exp and only get a 2 day ban !_!

Something tells me it's not that simple. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that the person caught had to remove PWI and the Bot program from thier system...then re-install. Then wait 2 days.

You know the banning system is progressive right?

Here you can find a breakdown on the possible "punishments" the GM's may dish out if you are in violation of the rules.

Also closing this as banissues are not discussed here on the forum. If you have any question please feel free to send a ticket to Customer Support.
