Sword for PvP?

I've been wanting to get into pvp and I'm a sword BM, but whenever I look at PvP guides it shows how to use axe BM. I've been seeing people say that sword is great if used properly, so wondered if any pro sword pkers got any tips? :P

    Most of ppl and PW guides say that sword BMs are good or "own" in 1vs1 fights...Im a sword bm and I tell the true I never could beat an Axe BM.Maybe my PVP tactics are not good but tell me what can u do against an Axe Bms stunlocking? (not much) Their weapons (axes) have better stats, they do higher damage as a sword bm.There are some ppl who say that axe bms accuracy sucks that is not true, maybe they miss some hits but if they have one or two 50%+ accuracy rings thats pure death.Btw I like my char and if any higher or experienced sword BMs could give me some advices it would be great.All my honours to Takarub:victory

    Maybe you need a better sword? The attack IS lower, but no matter what they do you will hit more often, and depending on how you use your other skills, you could cripple thier damage on you... Axe user's are easy done right.

    Erm, you are 43 dude, you cant win an axe BM? Axe BM are good but at lower lvls, their accuracy compared to us really suck so I am thinking you screwed up???

    Once again a misleading statement. I am an axe user stated to use swords. And my gear gives me extra accuracy.

    Now if I was to playing a Sword main weapon BM. I would be shooting at getting the level 90 berserk blade. Until then. You should be using your roar to stun and dealing as much damage as possible(skills or regular hits whatever gives you more damage) until that effect ends and then use Aelion blade for another stun chance. You can't achieve the true stun lock. But you can sure **** someone up.

    I would practice dueling others using different techniques. I can see some uses for spark. And of course Will of the Bodhisatva. Can't stun something that's immune to stuns. Perhaps shooting for +crit items too. And sharding your weapon for attack and +ing it as much as you can afford. These are just some of my ideas i would play with until i figured out what worked.

    And of course being on a PvP server the very best thing you can do is to roll around in a party.

    erm well I said that cause he is 43... I didnt really expect anyway to get equips at that lvl as in not good ones. I survived that stage without getting equips and as far as I know, the quest items at that lvl dont give much addition to stats. Either he lost a lot of advantage in equips or the guy was higher lvl? I dont know but at that lvl, axe BM really do have low accuracy, unlike barbs but still pretty bad. Especially since we have high dex. Is really impossible to lose to an axe BM AT 43 all the time. It is understandable that he lose once or twice but all the time. This is also assuming he duel at least 6 and above times with axe BMs or he wouldnt post this thread. If it is once then maybe he lost then it is okay..

    Umm if you're talking to me I never fought an axe bm lol, I'm just saying that I can't find a guide specifically teaching how to PvP with a sword, since the only guides I find are for axe or pole users :P
