Decomposing?

Can anybody give me some info on decomposing? What are the benefits and cons? And why, whenever I try it, it tells me my durability is inneficient. When it's full. And it also tells me I need lvl 2 Tailor skill. How do I level up my tailor skill?

    To upgrade your tailor skill you need to use it. Once you have max experience for it you can upgrade the skill.
    I decompose all my gear because it saves me room. You COULD just sell the gear to NPC if it's plane gear with no extra stats. I like to hoard things though...so I've over 3000 yiyuan and about a thousand each of the next three stones. You can sell the stones to players, or use them to refuel your pet. Though they don't seem to sell very well, or at a very high price.
    It's hard to say whether or not you make more money by NPCing the gear or selling the stones.
