Warsoul weapons

Does anyone know anything about this other than what the craftsman tells you?

I tried to make some Avalokite fragments a couple days ago, and didn't get them. I had 500 perfect stones in my cleric's inventory, and four open slots. I was going to make the max number of fragments (5). I hit craft, and the perfect stones disappeared, but no fragments appeared in my inventory. I stopped the process after I should have gotten 3 fragments. I'm thinking this is a glitch I should report, but thought I'd post here first. If it is a glitch, and a GM reads this, it was about 9:30am MST, I think on the 8th.

If this isn't a glitch, can anyone give me some pointers? Heck, can anyone give me some pointers anyway?

    It was not a glitch, there is a chance for failure when crafting Warsoul Fragments. I don't know the exact odds, but I believe the general consensus is that easier to obtain mats have a significant failure rate while harder to obtain mats have better odds. Perfect Chi stones are pretty easy to get, even before the supply stash, so they fail often. Ancient Devils Soul or Empires Black Image for example are not so easy to obtain, so they have a higher success rate.

    The best pointer I can give you is don't bother trying unless you're already level 99 or so, which I have to assume you aren't. Obtaining a Warsoul weapon is a monumental task that very few will ever complete. It takes a total of 700 items to make one weapon, and each individual item is a fairly huge task in itself.

    Kudos to you if you want to try, but you were warned.

    err ya i was wonder when it says 100% to make does it mean 100% to make warsoul? or to turn in warsoul into perfect stones....cause i got the 100 stones and i fialed just wondering...

    Do you have a better chance at making the fragments at a higher level? Also, thanks for the warning and the info.

    Ok, it says probability of creating 100%. I also looked up the Avalokite in case the 100% referred to the perfect stone, and it says 100% for the fragment also. So.... I'm just as confused as I was when I started. lol I did reread the Warsoul Spirit stuff again (for the third time). It does say that some items are harder to craft than others, but it doesn't say if it's all or some that might fail.

    Also, there doesn't seem to be any info on where to obtain the boxes and other items that may contain mysterious chips in the database. Are these random drops?
