Simple Chat Question

Ok, I have a question about chat that I can't find the answer to.

Is there a quick way to use smilies? (Instead of having to open the menu and click them every time?)

The game's help system says you can type "#XX" (XX being the smilie's number; i.e. 01 Grin), but when I try it, it's no good.

Any help would be greatly appreciated ^^

    #01 (or any other number for that matter) doesn't work. That's all I'm trying to figure out here ~_~

    Cmon people, if you don't know the answer, then just say so.

    Hell, if the question is stupid, call me a noob. I really don't care.

    I've never worried about it I've just always clicked the smiley menu open found the one I wanted and chose it. I never really thought about it being time consuming.

    As far as the #XX i've never tried but if it's not working for you then I would suggest just moving on with your life and dealing with the fact you have to click to get smilies.

    If you're really that lazy where that is too much work for you then just use =) =( =O =D etc. I think those are sufficient enough.
