Tips for higher lvs

Hi, thank you to anybody willing to give me some pointers.

I am a lv 65 cleric, and find I need some guidance at least in regard to bosses, as they are getting much more difficult and I can no longer simply spam heal/ throw a purify every now and then.
Maybe I have been lucky to have some good barbs around.

Can anyone please advise me as to how they fight higher bosses and such? I mean I have only just raised the coin to buy regen aura so I am pretty lacking in knowledge.

    I think i noticed the same thing...bosses get a bit harder higher up. Heres some things that make my life easier:

    -When your iron hearts dont seem to be catching up throw on a couple wellspring or if time allows throw on a rejuvenation stream and continue with iron heart.
    -dont throw up BB when its not necessary. I have seen alot of bad things happen when a cleric thinks the boss is hard enough to warrant BB. Perfect example was in fb 69 on last boss with debuff. She assumed BB would be a better idea over a group heal.....boss debuffed barb and took him out while cleric threw up bb and then got knocked out of it again...ouch
    -spam a couple times before going in. Most clerics do some dont but always a good idea
    -Keep an eye on physical and magical debuffs (like ours) and purify ASAP

    * Spam tank before heading into boss: Ironheart will stack

    * Do not forget about using Wellspring, it can help you get ahead and gives a good boost

    * Stream of Rejuvenation (if needed and time) works wonders if you have a tank with health down about 1/4th. This will generally bring back to full(ish) health and then you can spam Ironheart again.

    --> Spam Ironheart, Wellspring, Spam Ironheart, Stream of Rejuvenation, repeat.....

    Something that many Clerics I've run into didn't know...you can hold down the key that your healing spell is on and it will fire off automatically. You don't have to keep pounding the button. This speeds up your healing by a margin. Realize also that Iron Heart stacks.

    Regen Aura is good but an MP killer. I've yet to find any Boss that I could not solo heal through ( Well...FB 69 requires 2 clerics but that's to keep the *party* alive ) except World Bosses so my guess is:

    1) You didn't know about the "hold the button down thing"
    2) Your Iron Heart is low leveled.
    3) Your Mag is low stat-wise

    --> To respond to WillFire: He is right in that your MP may not be high enough to support the heals. Like Ironheart has a base but then adds a % of your base MP to the heals. And holding the button down = YES!!

    * Have you been keeping your MP high? And is your Ironheart maxed (I am assuming it is)?

    What's your build? In other words, where do you put your stats when you lvl up?

    I do 6 mag, 1 str, 3 vit. I have been thinking about putting more into magic.
    My ironheart is maxed, and as yet I've had no probs till the Quillog King took me by surprise(at the very end my barb just went down, hard.)

    Odd...you shouldn't have an issue with him unless your weapon is sub-par or the Barb was.

    Any specific boss(es) you are referring to? Bosses have different strategies and some bosses (Krimson, Jewel) require 2 or even 3 clerics.

    I've done both Krimson and Jewel with a BM. It just requires being very quick with purify ( level 5+ ) and the "tank" knowing what they are about.

    Hmm, you dont really need BB untill Twillight Temple really, most bosses before that are pretty easy. Honestly, if you want to rock healing, you need pure magical build. Get a lot of HP shards and p.def bonuses/shards to raise survivability. Right now, fully stacked, my ironheart can heal a tt ank's hp to full in one tick, even when a boss hits for 5-6k it jumps back to full immediately. I really see no point in any other heal other than ironheart. Not to mention, BB works better for full int clerics since they heal more. At about 1400-1500 hp healed every 5 seconds, i can usually BB through bosses even without a second healing cleric, sometimes the charm ticks for the tanker but it is doable, I did the drum boss in fb79 that way. Note, you need to have a good 2.5k p.def and 2k+ hp without barb buff to be able to withstand most bosses after 70.

    In your case, maybe your weapon sucks, maybe your magic attack is too low, i have not encountered yet the problem of not ebing able to outheal a boss after i got lvl 10 ironheart and gotten to lvl 60ish.

    Ofcourse, when the tank goes to steal aggro, you need to stack 5 ironhearts so that you wait long enough for him to hold aggro and he does not die. Purify is good :P but i managed to survive with it lvl 2-3.

    At first i thought you are talking about soloing bosses, what i found is that right now at 77 i can solo pretty much any boss up to chin (aside from fb51 and the p.dmg boss of the 49 cultivation)

    you just need to properly time your heals and dmg, 3-4 heals 1-2 dmg or more heals, less heals and so on.

    Healing wise though, the more dd, the more hp healed.

    Oh, one more thing, if you are in a party with soemone BBing, make sure you always have 2 sparks so that if anything happens you can take over. It saved my **** many times in TT when people either ran out of mana by mistake or got d/c. Never got knocked out of BB yet.

    There are bosses that have a specific AoE that will knock you out of BB. The Tauroc boss in FB 69 ( Cow boss ) for example does this. There are a few in the higher level TT's as well.

    I don't think it has anything to do with level Red...I think it's specific to the Boss's AoE. Once again using the Cow boss in 69 as an example. He has 2 AoE's. One is water damage. The other physical of some type that knocks you out of BB. Looks like transparent arrow heads.

    Thats fine, level or not (was thinking like you in terms of bosses and HH)...I still find it hard to believe that he has never been knocked out of the BB.

    The BB (Regeneration Aura) is not used all the time. Thank goodness because it is an mp sucker!! b:surrender It is generally used for Zhenning, for specific bosses that AOE and in a crunch!

    This is what it does:

    Mana: 500
    Channel: 5.0 seconds
    Cooldown: 30.0 seconds
    Weapon: Unarmed, Magic Instruments
    Requisite Cultivation: Transcendant

    Focus your empathatic energy to heal squad members within 15 meters of you. Use 500 mana every 5 seconds to recover HP equal to 300 plus 20% of base magic attack every 5 seconds and cut magic damage taken by 50%. Skill will not stop until click Cancel or press ESC.

    Requires 2 Spark.

    * I HIGHLY recommend using this only with a charm -- but that is just me because it is MUCH more reliable and safer.

    --> Getting "knocked out" of the BB happens when the Cleric is "hit" by an AOE (I have seen it happen in Zhen partied by pk'ers too) and the BB goes down from the impact. It is similar to being "interrupted" when casting an attack.

    If you get knocked out, it depends on the situation. Generally it is wise to have all chi bars full so that when you cast the BB you will have one spark and an ALMOST full 2nd chi bar. In this case it takes one spam of Ironheart for the 2nd spark and you can throw the BB back up.

    * This is just something that you need to be aware of and prepared for. just in case you can't get the BB back up, it is always wise to have the tank targeted (NOT the boss) so that you can go directly into healing.

    You don't really NEED to be full int. Ive been LA from lvl 70 til now and have had no problems healing for bosses at all. For example I have solo healed jewelscalen with a lvl 67 tank that had no hiero (ticked my hiero and pots ALOT though). It can be done you just have to pay close attention to debuffs.

    That's wierd you shouldn't have any issues like that, I'm LA Cleric and didn't have. Just max wellspring as well and once you see that ironheart doesn't keep up shot a wellspring.

    Btw. can you tell me your stats right now? You see, I'm very interested in that build cuz of the high hp ^^
