Is there a way for archers to survive room 47?

Hi all,
I have only recently started cubing and have all but given up hope of surviving room 47.

I would like to know if any archers have an effective strategy for surviving this room.

Obviously a charm is a must but what else is needed?
Damage reduction meds? Crab meet? Wings of Grace?
Is the AOE an elemental attack or a physical?

As long as the mats needed to pass the room are < 300k for 100s of survival it's worth it. What have you all come up with?

Hey there. I've beaten the cube all 3 times that I've attempted it and fortunately have never had the displeasure of being in room 47 lol. From what I have read I dont think there is any hope for us =(

I think we might be able to figure out how to survive room 47 if we knew how much damage you take in room 47 and how often, and what kind of damage you take (Physical or some element) and how much defense you had against this kind of damage to get your damage levels.

For example, I think demon archers can keep winged shell up for 30 seconds, could casting winged shell every 30 seconds be enough for them? (If not, I doubt any of the rest of us have much chance but if so I imagine most of us could survive with some creativity.)

I've only done cube once and luckily I've completed it. I was lvl 78 and I survived the infamous room 47. But before you start calling me "OMG PRO", I actually had the luck of being buffed by a Barb in an earlier room. Since I'm hp built, I have about 4.9k hp with the hp buff.

I had max chi going in, and with the help of: wings of grace, winged shell, chaos powder, hp pot, charm, hp buff and a fast pair of legs, I was able to survive.

So I guess it's better if you run cube with a barb friend, and cross ur fingers that you guys will meet somewhere before room 47 to buff up.

    Good luck, Ast!~b:bye

=Edit= Hi! Fleuri. Stop trolling the forum :P

=2nd Edit= to answer Fleuri's question, the dmg was high enough to destroy my lvl 10 winged shell in one hit as i recall. I'm guessing it does around 800-1k dmg. (can't remember exactly)

    Hi! We miss you already!!

(But if you were taking 1000 damage and you survived, did you not get hit very often? Like, maybe once every two seconds? Or did you not get hit after you had crossed room 47?)

Its pretty much hopeless before lvl 90 for any archer unless you're vitality build. The cube don't like archers pretty much.

To pass room 47 u need:
lvl 90 green set + refined gear to +5 atleast
Get both cleric and HP buff before u enter so u have at least 6-7k+ hp
1 min before u enter room use lvl 90 apoc pot that increase hp regen to 100 each sec
When cooldown on that pot is finished you can enter room since u now have the option to pop another apoc pot
    Use lvl 90 hp pot
Use apoc pot that instantly restore 90% of your hp when it gets really bad
    use more lvl 90 pots
    **** your hp charm

With a little luck u will make it past 100 sec ^^

Umm, it's basically an enclosed, small room where u have to survive for 100 sec. There's no exit or anything. I basically circle the room by hugging the walls to avoid the physical mobs that are chasing me and tank the aoe hit from the centre, non-moving boss. The aoe comes once every 3-4 sec. With 4.9k hp, i barely survived. Towards the end, I had no chi for shield, potions/powder in cooldown; just when I thought I was dead meat, i got teled out cuz 100 sec is up. phew!

For room 47 vit builds/lvl90+ are best. You need about 4.5k hp when u go in. Vit build or lvl 90+pure builds shud have this unbuffed for others u get this from hp buff.

To survive the first few moments i usually build Full chi then talk to the npc. There is a 10 second or so delay before u get ported in so u have time to put on winged shell. I then hold s on the keypad to run straight backwards so when im ported in my char runs into the corner behind me and pop the highest level hp pot i can use. Usually the mobs cant get a hit on me as i run into the corner as they dont have time to aggro then swing. Now u use the highest level fury u have (advanced/heaven or hell fury) and if u need to use a damage reduce/absorb pot (or for 9x the special 6 second immune pot that allows u to move after), this pot should trigger the moment the immunity from ur fury runs out. Use the aoe knockback wingspan and whether u are 8x or 9x this should oneshot the phys mobs on u.

The next part is to survive the mob in the middle and this is wat will kill you generally. Im not sure whether it is physical or elemental but the damage it deals ignores shields and apoc pots so wings of grace, winged shell and damage absorb/reduce pots are out of the question. The only useful apoc pots for this mob is the immunity pots or the hp pots as this do work. You need to sit in your corner and spam the regular 80/90 hp pots on cooldown to ensure u stay alive. When the mob closest to u respawns stun it and kill it before it can get a hit on u which should be easy they take about 2-3 hits max to bring down. Never risked it but the mob might be stationary and u may be far enough that it wont aggro you if you dont move. Personally iv never taken the chance since its a 1-2 shot for me.

This part is simply about whether or not u have enough hp to stay alive with or without pots for the 10 second cooldown of ur hp charm which can seem like the longest 10 secs ever. Most pure builds will not have the hp to do this pre-90 whereas vit builds can do this from around 80+. All builds can do it with hp buff from around 75-80+.

Enjoy the fun times in room 47 b:victory and remember to spam the regular hp pots from start to finish.

The damage is earth element, I believe. So might wanna prepare for that.

Moving and running around is also the worst thing you can do, that'll just aggro more and make it a lot harder.

Best bet, by all accounts, is to stand in the corner by the door. Kill the little physical mobs that come after you. If you don't move, then tend not to come after you again.

And then just stand in the corner there, and weather the storm by constantly spamming pots and blowing your charm.

Also, before you go in, use one of the HP regen pharm pots, wait for the cooldown to recharge, then talk to the NPC.
    Everyone here is ridiculously oversensitive.

Umm moving and running around is not the worst thing. If you do it right, you can avoid being hit by the physical mobs entirely. When I did it, I got them to pack up together and chased me around the perimeter of the room, and I did not get hit once.

HP Event pots, Gold HP Charm, 3-4K hp

I survived it with 3.2K HP spamming HP event pots. The good thing about these pots is the cool down is the same as the heal over time. So healing 2500hp/10sec every 10 seconds makes it possible.

And running around is the best thing you can do, kite the mobs in a circle, once you pick most of them up, it only gets easier. If you tried to kill the mobs, you would die in the first 5 seconds of them pounding on you.

    Way to necro lol

Yah I survive this now too thanks to event food :) When I made this post originally I was level 82 I think with no event food.

My first success with the food was with 3.7k and it worked well. I didn't realize 3.2k was enough though :)

My technique is to come in with winged shell on and run into the corner and then barrage the mobs who chase me. The shell protects against the mellee attacks from mobs as you clear them. Any damage you take before your charm has first ticked is basically free since your charm is not in cooldown yet unlike the way it is for the rest of the time. After that it is just keep spamming food and kill the one mob who spawns near you.

survived room 47 when i was just around lvl 75+ on pure dex build, i think had 3.1k hp at the time XD
apparently the dmg from the center aoe mob is unreducable and unblockable by winged shell. i tried using winged shell on it before, nothing happens, the damage i take from the aoe mob doesnt show up on the general message (i got damage display turned on) i estimate i take about ~800 dmg every 1.5-2sec or so from aoe mob.

hp charm, spam event food. i used a purple pot in the beginning when the mobs are on me. i also entered the room with winged shell already casted and have a healing orb running.
My body is made of swords.
Iron is my blood, and glass is my heart.
I have overcome countless battlefields undefeated,
    Without once retreating,
    Nor once being understood.
Always alone, intoxicated with victory on the hill of swords.
Therefore, there is no meaning to that life.
Perhaps this body is nothing but a sword itself.

Same here i managed to survive that room when i was around 77 maybe dex build
i just ran like crazy spamming pots and casting winged shell and of course i had hp charm
i know that at that point i had some unrefined gear with a lot of hp recovery and i had under 3k hp for sure
You can call that luck if you want

I hate that room T_____T b:sad I ALWAYS end up in that room.... been in room 47 6 times so far. I beat it 5/6 times.

It's a charm **** though. I didn't use any damage reduction pots, just timed the 10 second interval for a the HP charm, and spammed Multfiflavor Jiaozi (Heals 2500 in 10 seconds). Usually once the charm ticks, then I eat a Jiaozi. I never went below 700 HP and my max HP is around 3500 (3 vit ftl). Oh, and I tried using those cheap Healing Orbs that last for 10 minutes... it helps a little bit. Use wings of grace once you feel like you can't make it (:

    Good luck !

though im at around 4.2k hp pure dex build atm, iv ran room 47 soo many times with no problem o n just 3.4-3.6k hp. all you really need is charm, multiflavor/vegetable jiaozis and keep spammingem, and keeping an 1k instant heal apo pot on hand to be used once. Should pass it with a breeze since lvl 77.
