Problem?

in all the movies of PWI i see :

nice landscapes,
water which is looking like real water
and are not just some white stripes
in blue.
better graphics

is this my computer or server?

    Could be your computer...

    Could be you have low settings on when playing...

    Check all of those things.

    i have got all settings on high but i can't
    change the settings of water an landscape
    i just saw so maybe that's the problem.....
    and if so what do i do about it?

    Click the system button in your quickbar, and find the tab with the graphic effects. There are slider bars for Trees, Flowers, Water, Terrain. If you slide them all the way to the right, and hit Apply, the quality of the world gets better.

    Play around with the settings until you find some that appeal to you without slowing your computer down. Test to see if it's slow by dragging your camera angle view around near monsters or other players. If it is sluggish, then lower the quality until it flows smoothly. Note that it might still lag when you go into actual battle, or an area with a lot of players.

    The movies are CGI, in game will never look like the trailers you see. They are there to promote and sell their game.

    Well, there are sometimes glitches that only affect one server. But I kind of doubt that's the problem here.

    I've never had any problem with the in-game system settings. If it doesn't let you move any of the slider bars, or doesn't show some of them for you, take a screenshot and submit a Ticket and a game mod should be able to help you work it out.

    Graphics should be purely client side: it's pretty much a waste of bandwidth to have the server do those calculations.

    mmmh interesting theory but it looks like IG recording to me :) expansion may bring an advance in the graphics/controlling/systems etc

    I thought the same thing, and then i updated all of my settings to HIGH and oh my did it look gooood! But beware, this made my comp lag like mad! and i have 4gb ram!

    Actually there is no CGI trailer for PWI.

    Make sure you update your video card drivers to the latest version. If that doesn't help you then it might be that your video card needs an upgrade. ;)

    yeah those are all in game graphics when your computer and or laptop can handle it. I get beautify displays when I play on my laptop at full force :)

    What kind of video card would be recommended for playing on maxed settings if I may ask?
