The economy on dreamweaver seems a bit screwed up compared to the other servers. The gold prices are overly inflated too quickly for just 2 months and there seems to be a truckload of scammers everywhere. Even my own faction mates try to scam me and dont hide it....

Yea, the economy on DW has been pretty much screwed since the Jolly Event/Oracle Event/whatever the hell it was (I didn't bother participating.) And with the new supply packs come more CS items, and the Charm Packs, and you can see where I am going with this... we can just hope that someday soon they return to normal price.

And scammers? I personally haven't seen any myself yet, with the odd catshop trick here and there...but then again, stuff easily passes over my head. b:surrender But if your faction is trying to scam you, then yea, I think it's time to get outta there.

Hopefully the people who really want to save the servers economy will lower their prices to normal causing nobody to buy from the inflating, scamming noobs that want to ruin the game for everyone.

How are gold prices on this server?

It's been at 130-140k for the past several weeks, rising up to 150k during the few days when the hammers and packs came out.

Ya... the new servers are screwed up economy wise.... other servers will have gold at 102k-106k? 110k is high while at 110k on the new servers would be considered a bargain....

Yeah how about that - we lack merchant-organizations, politicians and other organs that regulate this stuff in the real world (in this scenario that we have on PW - who would want to know the prices for gas atm? hahahaha).
Lack of autorithy, rules and regulations - and already things seem so unnaturally hard. The society of our own real world has developed into its (critical) state within thousands of years (think of the experience!)... Perfect world has existed for how long... A couple of years? Even though I'm not even sure if such issues will ever be taken to further discussions...
Would make the game even more complicated and serious if it had such factors as politics and so on in it. I'd be interested in it, but we must admit, the mastermind behind all of this would want to get rich on this as well... And so on..
    Besides it is...
So so hard to copy humanity :)

Well, can something be done in order to fix the economical state that the Server is in? :) Kinda feels like the global crisis has even reached out to our virtual world hahaha b:laugh

If the people raises the price of Gold and the people keeps buying, so the price will raise more and more.

If you think it's expensive, dont' buy it.

The lack of selling is that makes the price go down.

100~120k is enough. If the prices raise more than that, everyone stops buying.

Otherwise, prices going lower than 100k is bad. People that actually buys Zen will see no profit in selling their gold for too low, and will buy it only for own consumation.

a short while ago (2-3 weeks) i would have concidered 115k p/gold moderate price, and 110k a bargain, prices up to 125k. since the valentines day **** up, that is.

I thought I was a cheapscape because of the rising prices and my unwillingness to pay todays going rate among some vendors ... Glad I am not alone. :p

Generally 125k per gold is considered average in DW right now. But I have seen prices shoot up to 140k, which is pretty ridiculous and totally wrecks the game.

Only solution is for people to not buy when the price is high. That is pretty much the only way for the prices to come back down.

Alternative energy sources are, I think,
and there is that direction which will deduce the world from crisis.
The epoch of oil and gas monopolies will end.

Aside from gold/zhen/coins (whichever preference you call in-game money and cash shop money), gears prices have skyrocketed ongear in-general. Now these days, it's cheaper to craft your own gear than using the Auctioneer (on over half the gear listed).

The economy in this game is made up of numbers pulled from the air. There is no real standard to how much gold should be sold at. Reality is, these golds being sold are people injecting REAL money into a FREE TO PLAY game. So if they wanted to, it can easily be 1 Million coins per 1 gold. It is not really greed, nor is it selfish. You cannot criticize someone for something that they EARNED. Yes it does suck that the gold prices are high and continue to rise, but the fact of the matter is, the situation could be worst. Imagine NO ONE charged zen. You wouldn't see nixes, hercs, GAs, XP scrolls, charms, refinements, extended bank/bag spaces, WCs, 11 m/s mounts, 3m/s aeromounts, and last but most certainly not least... PWI.

So before you get mad at gold prices, sit back and be thankful. Especially if you don't charge zen, like me b:cute

Well, Gold seems to have stabilized at 130-145k, guess you were wrong.
