The best class for a pro is any class.
The best class for a noob is the Noob class. It gains 1 stat points every level and is forced to use level 1 equipments for the rest of his life until he QQs and quits the game.
If your an average player, roll the most common PvP class like an Archer on a PvP server. Or the best solo PvE class, Venomancer on a PvE server.
If you failed life and want to find romance in this game, pays lots of money and you will attract the opposite gender... Money does rent love here b:laughPosition: Professional Forum Troll
Position Details: Be able to incite people to flames and perform miracles such as telling people what's right and what's wrong. Be able to dish out flames to other people so fire extinguishers are needed to put out the flames. Most of all, giving others a piece of reality.

Well you can try to play each char. and see what fits for playing style. SOme general info to help you.
WINGED ELF-
cleric- healer, squishy,
Archer- physical damage dealer of the game, high crits, pretty squishy
UNTAMED-
venomancer- only female, best solo class, use pets, magic users.
Barbarian- tank of game, high hp, decent damage. only male
HUMAN-
wizard- magic damage dealer of game, squishy
blademaster- can use an array of weopens, best to choose one, good defence, 2nd choice tank, decent hp
I personly like archers. we are good at taking out single targets fast, but hard to take out serveral monsters at once. I like my high crit rate b:victory
If you choose Sanctuary server, pm me in game - Kitsuneaki and ill help with any questions you have.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

IMO I Would go with the venomancer, very easy class to pick up and you can perform well in PvE and PvP. Plus you can build your venomancer however you want ie Heavy veno if you like to melee with a DPS pet or wanna stay back and nuke with a tank pet. Again its all up to you but thats the class that I would pick b:pleased9999 Forces Completed -Hercules Acquired-

why do people keep asking this? Just think about it for a sec. If there was a "best class" in PW, wouldn't we ALL play it? So why would PW developers bother to create 6 classes for us? They could have just made 1 single class and name it "THE BEST CLASS EVER"
Seriously now.... Before you start playing a game, READ THE FORUMS. That's why everyone keeps posting opinions and build guides and pros/con for each class. Do some research before you ask such questions. I can tell you the veno is the best... but maybe you dont like having pets. I can tell you the archer is the best... but maybe you don't like huge damage... and so on. So im asking you please read the game info posts and build guides posts before you start playing. After all the reading, if you still have questions regarding the game or which class to choose, i'll be more then happy to answer.
Lateredit: my point being: each player's gaming style is different. You can't ask someone to tell you what YOU like to play with.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Veno or Cleric
Veno is relatively ez if you have played other mmo's and already know the general control layout. Then it's just a matter of learning pet handling. Oh, and you gotta be willing to play a girl. Cleric's are a good class to start with for one reason; they teach you to play smart. Playing a squishy (fragile) character will make you more aware of mobs around you. After about level 20 you will probably know better about what you want to play and can start over. Don't worry, those first 20 levels will breeze by the second time. Many pros can do them in a few hours.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Don't listen to the people that recommend you venomancer because its easy to learn (but hard to master?). Go with the class that seems most attractive to you.
Any class is learnable and with all the guides and help you will find in the forums its not a problem even for a newby.0 -
yes dont go with veno if ur new to mmorpgs. venos are super for leveling and great for solo, but, keep in mind u have to "master" them. Pets skills, taming, pet bag, food, leveling pets, luring, tanking...im sure the list could go on. I went thru a blade master to level 60 before i realized it wasnt my playing style and i gimped my character. Read the forums, experiment and make your own opinion, cause in the end thats what truly matters[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

I didnt asked for the "best class of the game", i asked for the best class for a beginner, i mean, the class that is easier to use, i know that in any game the classes need to be balanced, but i want to know which class is the easiest to play, because in almost all games, there is one class that is easy to learn how to use it.
thanks for posting!0 -
veno or cleric
Veno is easy to play with cos all you do is:
1. click on mob
2. press alt-1
3. press pet heal skill
4. rinse and repeat.
Clerics are relatively easy to play because you only have 2 attack skills that work for the first 30 levels and you only have 4 buffs to learn and 2 heals.
Best part about a cleric is simply playing full support and healing partymembers without even bothering to attack monsters. Also clerics are always in high demand for parties etc.0 -

i don't know what you mean by "easiest to play". Is it fastest lvler? or highest damage dealer? or having skills to heal? or having a high hp and being able to tank? or is it a stunner? or maybe it's a combination of all those ... ?
At least some info on your gaming style would be good, so we would know what to recommend you. So far, most ppl tell you to play veno or cleric... do you even like mag builds? What kind of class have you played in other mmos ?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

whats so hard to understand?
Here is some examples:
Mages are not easy because you have seperate skilltrees and you need to plan your skills carefully.
They die easy.
You cant just mash one button till mobs die, you need to attack, pushback, slow, attack, kite, repeat.
blademasters are not easy:
Same as mage your skilltree depends on your weapon, axe/fist/polearm/sword, -brain required for planning.
They dont have any healing skills and only average defense and at lower lvls they die all the time.
venos are easy:
Ignore the right side of the skilltree (fox skills)
put all your stats in magic, you can lvl to 60 easily with 5 str/dex/vit
you dont even need any atack skills, just pet healing
priests are easy:
every game has the class and its all the same
click on somone and press heal
just need to learn the right heal skills and bare with the little lag between selecting different ppl.0 -
You will find a LOT of veno bashing in the forums. The reason is that venos DO have an advantage in a lot of ways. With the right pets (very expensive) they are the best pkers. They can lvl faster than any other class. They can solo many bosses and quests that others cannot. All this adds up to a lot of animosity towards the class. So when you hear someone bash them take it for what its worth and scratch it up as class envy.
Even if you choose another class to play as your starting toon and main, a veno is a good thing to have as second. They are excellent farmers and use few or no expensive items (charms, pots, armor, etc.).
Here is another suggestion. Make yourself a cleric. Cleric's can fly indefinitely from lvl 1. Then fly your little cleric around the world and watch the fighting style of the different characters. Go east of Sanctuary and watch a BM and cleric aoe a dozen mobs at once. Go to hill of the old king and watch a barb tank krimson. If you're on a pvp server go to silverpool or other pk hotspot and watch the archers. Go to Etherblade and watch the duels in town. Ask the high level players to show you their cool skills. We all love to show off[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
thanks to all that posted, I think i will go with archer, i saw the forums and guides and is the most attractive to me
SilverThease, when i was asking for the easiest class to learn how to play, an example can be this, in almost all games, Warriors or Knights are the easiest classes to play, because they do physical attacks, and have less skills, and mages, wizards, warlocks, priest, etc are a little harder because of lot skills, builds, etc.
Now i know that in this game all classes can be learned easy watching the guides, because there is a great community here, and thats good! Not in all games people help you and give u tips.
Thanks for all, see u at game!0 -

blademasters DO have a heal skill...all classes do exept archers. A heal skill dosent determin whether a class is easy or not.
Blademasters- choose a wepon you like, lv up those sills, ignore the rest, click and attack.
Venos should not ignore the fox skills, you are going to need purge. Also, if should someone decide to go heavy veno, fox form is the best way to do it.
Any class can be EASY I suggest, like i said in my first post, is choose a class that fits your play style, or what you like to do.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

If he doesn't want to take one hour to read some guides then my advice is either not to play the game or to tune in with buying alot of point reset scrolls in two months...
Sry but all this 'Veno is easy and mage is not' b\s pisses me off.0 -
not sayin what class is easy or hard but 4 a no brainer class click attack kill go 4 a brb0

Sorry for being harsh... but i hope you got my point. You were looking for something similar to those and all you got as recommendation is veno or cleric... which you dont like... (lol@who recommended those 2)
If you're playing on HT, feel free to pm me anytime and ask for archer tips if you need them b:victory
Good luck.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I would go here and read what it says about all the classes as well what did you play in previous MMO if any.

Best class for e NEW PLAYER: venomancer.
because: its easy to play, easy to manage, you die less, you are more independant and with a veno class its easy to learn how the game works.
play it a bit, get a feel of how the game rolls and then you can decide if you want to change to a new class which caters to your gameplay needs.
@other BS posts:keep it short when a NEW player is asking about just PICKING a class. this is not the right thread to debate and which class rox socks. jeez...0 -
Veno is indeed easy to start with... first time i played PW it was on PW-JP server and i made foxie there, i was doing fine and i think didn't die once during my way from lvl 1-40 (pretty good considering that i don't read, write or speak a word in japanese xD), nothing too complicated to get things rolling but ofc mastering the class takes more.
Though i wouldn't recommed picking easiest solo class right off the bat for beginner. IMO it's important to get used to some basic tactics and party playing as soon as possible.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
