I just can start this tread by LOL.

Well, I'm faming mats for my Ult. subs. I know some location and I do my farming route based on that.

Well, there are cases in which a mob is next to the item and you have to kill the mob prior getting the mat. While you do that somebody takes the mat.

Ok, is that wrong?

I have done it and others have done it to me. However, if the person asked me in a nice way, I give the mat (just my way). if the person does not ask or get mad at me, I dont give the mat.

Am I doing something wrong? is there any ethic or formal rule on this?

    nope. no rules when it comes to mat farming- first one to farm the mat is the one who gets it.
    i've had it happen to me a zillion times, and i've done it every chance i got...it's just a money-making strategy.
    esp. with mid mats for ulti subs.

    Who ever can get to the mines first and farm it....it's fair game. It happened to me many times...and all I can do is curse the player in my mind and move onb:chuckle. I never farm any that i see when people try to kill the mobs beside it and farm it...it's just a matter of courtesy..but you can't expect everyone to do that. I do however race to the spot to farm it first if I see a potential farmer trying to get there alsob:pleased

    lol....too bad we're not in pvp server. Also....why the heck you want to stun/pk someone just because they farmed the mine??? It's just a big waste of time and charm/mana pots....isn't it easier just to move on to the next spot and farm?

    Its only one person, that is digging a mine. If you are wasting a charm tick and a mana pot on them, your doing it wrong.

    ummm...the person will get up and attack back wouldn't they? If they're lower lvl...then yea sure. My point is why waste time on doing such thing over something so small? Isn't it easier just to move on to the next point and farm?

    You're right...I don't. I find it much easier to go and farm another spot...that's just me. Even if I'm on a pvp server...I wouldn't pk someone just because he farmed the mine that I'm going for.

    By the way...I did not know which server pvp/pve when I chose this server....in fact I did not know until i was like lvl 40ishb:chuckle.

    Because I'm really hard.... and hard stuff are where I am at.

    Too bad your PvE Servers only know Blue Names that get 1 shotted by other blue named aliens.

    Yea, I'm having more fun than you Pking because I don't have to fly around for 30 minutes trying to find a blue name in a haystack of noobs. Of course, yea, save those charms.... It probabably never ticks for you in actual PvP because you can barely find any opponents to actually Pk.

    I have come to the conclusion that people from PVP servers have a different personalily. PKing over a farming mat?

    The point is you're setting some guidelines for the herb/mat thief, i.e. think twice about stealing a mat or you get kizzilled.

    Personally I won't clear a mob if another player is nearby until I gauge their intentions. One time I saw a managanese iron mine guarded by a Huggy Hare around Village of the Naught, I dropped down intending to clear him out, next thing I see someone bowl on up to the mine, start mining it, only to be attacked by the mob total noob-styles. Anyway now the mob was busy I waltz in and take that refined steel for myself. Surprisingly the noob was pissed off for some reason and called me 'Scum' b:chuckle

    I just thought she was outplayed. :P

    Idk why people think its harder playing on a pvp server.. Juts look at Harshland and DWP who hit 90 first? You guessed it Harshland.

    Seems like you care if you are replying to my post.
    My post was not to make it seem as a "server competition" it was just showing that the common belief of "pvp servers are too hard to lvl" is wrong, and the lvl difference in both newer servers proves it.

    What's to understand? Might makes right? Playground bullies need to feel superior to everyone else? IMHO, people who would fight over someone as inconsequential as a mining node are rather...petty. On PvE servers they are the ones who make empty threats and insult you when you take a node they believe belongs to them.

    Players also level TOO fast, get bored and quit the game faster than pve servers. Fast levels = boring, pvp with most of this games players = even more boring. I'm about to kill my character a few times so I don't hit 91, I'm at 97.0% right now.


    When I encounter times like the one mentioned in the first post here, I just leave and go about my business. It's just one mine, what do I care if I got it first or not? There are plenty more out there.

    Just double jump and start flying (don't fly away, just hover). The mob will run underneath you, then un-aggro and return to its starting spot. If it's close enough to the mat, it will attack the person mining the mat thus interrupting him.

    While it's attacking him, you can mine the mat. Unless he does the jump and fly thing to you too. b:laugh

    I had a friend who drove like that. He would remember cars which passed him and pulled in front of him. Then he'd chase them and pull in front of them as "revenge." I didn't realize he was doing this until he gloated that he'd managed to catch the **** who passed him 15 minutes ago.

    Needless to say, I don't ride in his car anymore. It's for the same reason I avoid the PvP servers - too many people with the same attitude of unnecessarily turning everything into some weird competition.

    Anyhow... to be on-topic like a professional troll.

    You shouldn't really farm for mats. You should farm for DQ drops, sell the drops, and buy the mats with the money. It's more efficient anyhow...

    To be more efficient, while your farming, do DQs also you can sell Silver or Gold DQ Orders, gain more money, and buy more mats.

    Mat thief's are scum tho imo. Kill them all <.<
    If you steal someones mats while their clearing the mob on pvp server you will most likely get stunned or attacked. Even the most soft carebear will jump your throat if you try to steal his antracite while hes killing the huggy hare lolz

    So unfair tho, venos don't have to clear mobs, they just send pet to agro the mobspawn and go dig. Rest of us have to kill 3 huggy hares to get 1 damn timber Q_Q

    And the glitch where u can dig mats from air only works with mele mobs. Magic mobs will still agro you, even if you fly up to dig, you also have to be pretty free of lag to pull it of. Sometimes you have to retry 2-5 times before the mobs stop agro you.
