unable to connect to server

just made an account a few days ago, can log in fine at the pwi websites, but not into the game... none of the 5 servers display ping or status, when i try to log in, it tries for 20+ seconds, then shows the message "unable to connect to server..."
and, before anyone tries to give me helpful tips regarding typoes, verification, and basic stuff, i'll just go ahead and say i've tried EVERYTHING from other threads on this same issue, as well as some others...
ps: downloaded the torrent, and used autopatch..
