Best partner for a cleric and some question about Europe

Hello everyone i am Jinroku. I have played alot of mmo and my latest was the mmo called world of warcraft and a few years ago i played FF11 aswell and i always played the summoner , priest/cleric/white mage type.

I always play with my girlfriend and she always playes a dmg type and i support her. The problem is there are alot of dmg classes here and so far she prefers a swordsman who can duel wield but i want to know is a Blademaster a good partner for a cleric and is the Blademaster newcomer friendly because she loves the duel wielding swordsman/rogue ? She isnt new with MMO but we are new with Perfect World Online .

I did play this game when it was in Open Beta a while ago and one of the things that i liked was the emote that when a male can fly he can carry a female player , did they remove that or is it still in there ?

We would like to alot of dungeons and explore this beautifull world so my question is with PK after lvl 30 will we be ganked when exploring or is there a PK mode off /on switch ?

We are from the Netherlands and we would like to know is there a server were more people from europe play so we can party alot with other people ?

One of the many things that i loved about world of warcraft is the choice to make your own armor or potion , i did read on the newbie guide that there is a crafting but will i be able to make my own armor and weapon or is it Potion and buffs scrolls only ?

Is there a server that you can recomend i cant see the server yet because i am still downloading the game.

Edited so i can ask : Can a blademaster be female and can a cleric be male character because 2 years ago we played a game that forced players to play as a female because healers were female only.

Hm, the best combo would probably be Cleric and a Barbarian. With this combination, the pair of you can do any boss/dungeon that you want.

Simple as this: barb tanks, cleric heals. Cant go wrong with that combo.

Males can still carry female characters.

PvP servers (lost city, and harshlands): after level 30, the world will come down on you and kill you whenever, wherever. This is probably a smarter choice for people with RL cash and is willing to spend it on Guardian Angels.

PvE servers (sanctuary, heaven's tear, dreamweaver): These servers allow you to swtich from PvP mode to PvE mode. Therefore, lets you pk when you want and grind without interference when you want.

You can make: amours, weapons, potions (special ones that the NPCs dont sell), tomes, and other stuff.

Unless he wants to be a male cleric then I'd suggest a female Blademaster. I know there's a lot of conflict between barbs and blades, but I've mostly partnered with a blade and we do just fine.

Even if is he a crazy blade that gets into trouble with too much aggro alot! b:kiss

Lloyd thanks for responding mate.

The problem is she wants to play a female character and the barbarian is male if i am correct unless they have changed it .

Could you maybe tell which proffesians there are ( proffesians were called the skills for crafting at WoW ) example Blacksmith etc .

She has decided to play a Blademaster but only if there is a female .

My final questions :

If i am a cleric i can fly at lvl 1 but what is the cost for flying because i want to go to the human place so we can level toghter .

Can a elf do human quest at the human zones

Jandira thank you for posting but what do you mean with conflict is there something wrong with the Blademaster ?

I think that partnering with a Barb or a BM is optimal.

Although, I have to agree with LloydAsplund in the sense that if you have a Cleric and a Barb, just about any boss is within your reach. (there are some exceptions to the rule). Overall though, I think that this is a combo that you really cannot fail with.

* There are female BM's

* And you can fly to where-ever you want. You will lose mana while flying until you get your lvl30 wings or buy cash shop wings, but because a Clerics regen for mana is decent, you should not have too many issues.

* Your first 19-20 levels will primarily be in your "home' city area. After that, you two can be together when you want if you are leveling at the same pace.

* There is nothing wrong with either class, the so-called "conflict" arises in both of these classes can be considered a "tank" class but the Barb is better suited. BM = higher damage but lower defense whereas the Barb = lower damage but higher defense and can have INSANE hp depending on the build.

* You have to have a character made to change the avatar

I am realy glad to see so many kind people on this forum i pray that there are just as nice people ingame. Thank you RedsRose for answering . i am still downloading it is 56% at the moment.

So for the first 20 levels we cant play toghter, how fast can will it take to level from 1-20 and when can we learn crafting .

Do i get mats for crafting from mining outside just like world of warcraft or do mobs drop Ore for example how does this work ?

tell her to get axe as a bm. after lvl60 or so you can start aoe grinding.

Levels 1-20 run pretty quickly, depending on how you play. It should not take you long.

You can start learning Production Skills at level 5 and go from there. You obtain mats from mobs that drop items and you can buy them from other players as well.

As a Winged Elf, you'll be able to fly anywhere you want from the start of the game (Though I'd recommend getting to level 5 at the very least before flying to another city).

If you wish to play with your girlfriend from the start, you can work on her missions as a team and then work on yours (or something similar to that).

Can i learn all product skills and blacksmith, i take it its for weapons and heave armor , cleric wear robes if i am correct so i should learn tailoring right ?

Seablue : we played FF11 for 2 years and world of warcraft 3 years so if the game is fun and there is a nice guild and we can do decent amount of things then i think we will stay here for a while.

Cathbar : thank you for responding but does that mean that if i do a elf quest she can only help with the quest but not accept the quest ?

Do we get some kind of buff when being a party or do we get a decrease in exp if we are in a party ?

* Your ? to Cathbar = Levels 1-20 only your class can do. They are class specific. After that they all run the same.

* Each class has there own buffs that you can level and cast on each other.

* When in a squad the experience is distributed evenly. (you get more if grind solo, but squadding pays off when you can kill large amounts of mob faster)

Okay... Since you are playing it with your girlfriend, so well, she can be the axe BM and you the pure healing cleric. From 1-20 took me 8 hours? Erm playing time. So you can take maybe a week each day 1 hour ++? Erm making armor yourself. See, there are some people who make armor themselves but i wouldnt worry about that. Cause from lvl 1-50+ or even 60, you get your equips from mobs or quests and these equips are good trust me. You wont need other things. As for crafting, since there are 2 of you, each of you can focus on crafting only 2 kinds of things and craft equips for each other.

Okay, as a BM, I can tell you that BMs go really well with clerics. Clerics buff really help BMs a lot. So she can be a Axe BM cause squadding at later lvls are gonna need her AOE and you can be a support cleric. And lastly, ignore Zephyrx he is an idiot

If you really want to do things together right from the beginning, you and your girlfriend could either become a blademaster and mage, or archer and cleric. Blademasters and archers both do damage, although archers do more, while mage and clerics can heal ( mages get the healing ability at level 24)b:victory

You can get ore or materials from monster drops, or you can go to these random rocks and with a pickaxe you buy from the merchant, get those ores, herbs....
