    "Cannot Trade" means that you cannot give it to other players through Auction, Catshop or Trade interface. "Cannot Discard" means that you cannot drop it on the ground.

    NPC merchants, though, accept everything you throw at them in the sell window, which includes 99% of these items (I think Friendship Crystal and a few of the specific conversion-items such as the Sharpness Tags are the only items the NPCs won't accept?)

    So if you cannot use an item with this text, sell it to an NPC.

    Can you mail them to an alternate character?
