ok guys....
why is the range of archers the same as venos, wizards, and clerics?
i know archers have a skill that makes them attack farther than the other class/races but its useless 1 meter but its not enough.
the weapon range is 20 meters........
on my other file,... i tagged in a squad, me and this other person (whos a veno,) we doing 2 on 1s on mobs shes using her pet and were hitting the target at the same range.......
the same with the cleric and wizard

But that skills goes all the way out to 10 meters. So you may have a total of 30Meters I believe.b:bye PW.

shes right!......
1 meter is only about 3.281 feet
so the skill level at 10 would be???? 32.81 feet. its not enough..
i think the pwi team should base archer range on yards not meters....
and the range of the bow should base on the str. stat of the archer
for example my str stat would be 27? so like the range of the weapon that i just brought is 15 yards..
so i will shoot at max range in total of 15 yards....
i seen in actual life a person shooting a target at 100 yards and he had hard time pulling back his own bow...0 -
32.81feet+the 20 meters to the original range? what is that like 50ish meters?
Plus adding STR would ruin the mechanics of an archer as DEX is the main focus point of an archer. Wasting extra points on STR for distance? I might as well be a fist archer.b:bye PW.

In PvE that extra range is critical, as it can keep you out of an AoE that a Veno, Mage, or Cleric would be hit by. In PvP, that range can be critical when combined with your Aim Low skill, as it means you can hit that frozen cleric or mage while they can't hit you.0

I believe most magic maxes out at 28.5m while a lvl 10 winged blessing extends archer range to 30m. There is a 88 bow that has has a +2m range effect and sage winged blessing adds 4m to bring max theoretical range to 36m.

The archers in the front line are firing at the boss from 30m while I have the 88 xbow and I am engaging at 32m.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

The max range of a archer is 30m if you lvl up your winged blessing to lvl10. If you go sage and get the sage winged blessing skill, then you get another 4m. You can also get weapons with increased range. As Asterelle stated.
Range isn't a huge deal for archers, it's speed. A -0.05 attack interval is about the same as a -3% channeling if you are just using your regular attack. Unfortunately, the only time i use regular attack is in PvE. In that case the added dps is nice.
The only time added range is useful in PvP is 1-on-1 against another ranged attacker. That way if you use Aim Low they won't be in range to attack you for 8sec if you have lvl10 Aim Low. It would be funny to see another archer or wizard freaking out cuz he can't hit you cuz he/she doesn't have you in range.
Regardless of the benefits of added range for an archer I still think speed is more important for an archer. Range would only be better if Winged blessing added 20m instead of 10m, but i doubt seeing that coming out in a patch ever (you got to keep the classes balanced as best you can).0
