i have a windwalking piggy as a tank. and every one tells me to get a sawfly as an attacker...

is it possible to upgrade the piggy with skills to make it both an attacker and a tank?
Ex:high HP and high att?

    Honestly.. no

But you can honestly improve yourself to make yourself the better attacker, and honestly, your piggy can honestly be a semi-secondary honest DD.

Honestly, a pig is a pig. You can honestly call the honest pig by any other name. But its stats are always the same, honestly.

    No you cant.

Dont worry about damage, just put 2 attacking skills on pig to keep agro and do the damage yourself.

Sawflys are the best, while pigs have swine flu.

Check the inherent stats of the piggy virsus something like the sawfly.... or the phoenix. According to ecatomb.net level 90 pets would stack up like this:
    PET.............ATTACK.........HP..........P.DEF
    Piggy .......... 1851 ....... 3114 ........ 8084
    Sawfly......... 3297 ....... 2279 ........ 5921
    Phoenix....... 4096 ....... 3446 ........ 8972
    Herc............ 2672 ....... 4135 ........ 8952

So the piggy will always have a weak attack. Pet skills work as a percent of the attack stat. So if your pet has level 4 bash it will deal 185% of the attack stat. On a piggy thats just 3424. On a sawfly thats an attack of 6099, almost double the piggies attack. However, the piggy will not need nearly as much heals as the sawfly due to its higher hp and physical defense. Therefore you can play the DD and let the piggy tank.... hmmm... I wonder how much it would cost to buy Strong, Protect, and Reflect (herc skills) for the piggy... anyone selling?

i agree with smexxy, personally i would consider the pig to be a far better PvE pet than the fly for an arcane veno.

just catch stinky foxwings close to your level, they have decent stats and keep aggro just fine. when youre in your 70s get an elysium fowl :P

i have both a pig and a foxwing, and though the foxwing is lv63, it still doesnt have the staying power or aggro holding of the pig, which has lower levle attacks (so far..plan to upgrade those).
