Keeps running and cant p/u drops

Since I installed new patch my chars keep running even after i stop moving,(running in place) I have to hold the SPACE BAR or i stop in mid jump. also cannot p/u the drops from a kill. Others can get my drops as a n00b was nice enough to steal them from my feet. Anyone else had this problem?

    Have you tried a verify from the launcher.

    Have you tried simply logging out and logging back in? There are time when my character keeps "floating" forward after my jump and if it doesn't go away i do that.

    yes i have verified and i keep having to log in and out
    done so like 15 times since servers went back up

    Ok it still is NOT working after 2 verifies. I did the manual patch from the file on PWI not a mirror. Here Is vids of the prob

    I have followed your suggestions but one. I really dont want to uninstall and reinstall the game. I more than meet the game requirements and am running out of options

    I have the same problem after patch, verifying now. The only other problem with the game I've had so far was, when I updated vid driver ATI to newest catalyst I got forced reboot after selscting my char to play. I had to roll back drivers to a windows version as a few of the older catalysts gave same trouble. I have 256mb Radeon x1050 vid card

    [Ok BM bugged main works fine so far? Out of my hands and into yoursand now it is saying the blue text int 10 chars long?????????????????????????????

    IIGHT i cant use any chars other than my barb and my cleric. The others have the same problem as my BM. Will this be fixed? If you cant fix it i will accept the points and exp i busted my butt for added to my 2 working chars. I feel that would be fair as i have coin and a lot of time in all my chars and do not wish to restart a veno, archer, wizzy and a bm. If they cant be played then they are not worth my using. If to use them i have to log out then back in every kill and not get any drops that is a waist of 2 mnths lvling and questing that i could had not done. this is way sucky. I am in Lost City server now as Resdya. that is my cleric and i was building my bm up when servers went down and planed on getting my fb 29 today.

    I have been having the same exact issues.... and I do use a BM. Also I ran TT today and it was lagging seeverly to the point where i kept dying in traps because it looked like i was halfway down the hall when i was really walking in a trap. I had to relog to get rid of the lag about 5 times in 1 run...not fun at all. All other players in the TT were not having problems. Seems to also be a little slow to resspond when AOEing. My system specs are more than ok to playthis game. I have rarely had lag issues before, especially not this severe. please help. BTW I have also verified it...didnt fix a thing...and i get map info out of phase on everything as well.

    Ignore map out of phase that is the setup for full expansion I think that we will get in next few weeks. I think DO NOT hold me to that. How ever my archer, veno, wiz and bm all had same issue. I feel riped off and as week after week I preach the great job the staff is doing it hurts a little to say that. this is a quality game but i think they need dual servers for each of us. not player but server. then changes like this could be placed on secondary server and then the switch every week could be done in minutes not hours and they could take more time for bug testing.

    I've been getting this problem tonight too whilst inside the Fb79. I get about halfway through and then if I stop, my char runs on the spot, but in both directions, flipping from one direction to the other. Had to relog several times, thus losing all accrued chi and having to rebuff, which cured the problem for a short while, but soon re-occurred. Problem also stopped if I fought something, or picked something up, but as soon as I moved more than a few metres, it came back again

    b:angry Alright I was wrong. The only char I can use is my cleric. If i fight any other char they freeze up and I cannot use them. I have tried every suggestion in the threads. So as I see it about 1000 hours of game time was wasted.b:infuriatedb:beatupb:nosebleed

    I will take a stab at this. I have worked in I.T. support for the last 12 years and have a ton of experience with gaming... This seems to be happening to a few people, can you guys list off the video cards that you are using and the driver version you are using for that card? So everyone with this issue please list your card, and driver version please?

    I worked for Blizzard a while back (although not in their tech support, but actual internal I.T dept) and it seemed that every few updates we had an influx of graphic glitch issues, and stuff that's somewhat similar to the errors you describe. I know it's not doing this with all your chars, but it could still be a graphics issue because of a weapon that glows or something might be causing this error.

    So what graphics card and driver version do you have?

    Different classes have different animations, and each item is specifically coded. That's why I was thinking it could have something to do with a graphics error. We had the same issues in WoW every couple patches.

    Have you tried to get totally naked and see if the animations work?

    Waiting for others with the same issue to list graphics card, and drivers.


    EDIT-try to update to 7.15.10.1554, if that doesn't work then backtrack to 7.15.10.1537.

    Also try to unequip everything. Right now you need to try pretty much everything you can to pinpoint where this is coming from.

    Just so u don't feel in the minority...
    My son has barb and he was in lost city when his character did the very same, exact thing..Watching your video made me feel I was watching his situation.

    I logged off - rebooted pc, ran CrapCleaner utility and defragged PC.

    I didn't relog his barb, I went straight to my B,m character. While I didn't experience the "same" issue, it was clear that my mouse control of character was flaky at best.

    I am no Tech wiz, but 20 years PC experience tells me 2 things.

    A) Problem is/was clearly update related
    B) Could very well be a new bug in hardware portion of game software.

    I am running an Intel onboard Graphics chip. 82845G
    Settings are 1152 x 864 on Acer P191w LCD monitor
    Game setting (video) 16:9 mode
    2 Gig ram
    750 - 750 page file (please don't recommend changes to page file) I have 15 years experience optimizing MS - DOS/WIN and settings - TY

    I started building and maintaining PC when "everything" needed manual settings - So I know a thing or 2 about PC management.

    Put it this way, I "built", and ran a 4 modem BBS system from home 15+ years ago. If you have no clue what I am talking about you are too young and/or to PC illiterate to appreciate what was involved to maintain PC then.
    Those with experience, will appreciate the challenge of making 4 modems work on single PC 17+ years ago(btw - my first modems were 1200 baud rate)

    How come you cannot roll back the video driver? If you cannot roll back, just delete the driver, and download an earlier version. You gotta try some stuff or nothing will work. You cannot keep thinking the game is the issue because it might not be. I am here to try to help you, but you got to help me by trying some things.
