Most popular resistance soulgems? (poll)

I plan to do something a bit unique with my Level 70 armors: put average elemental resist soulgems in them. There are three reasons for this... 1) they're cheaper, 2) I've seen the green glow on other armor and I like it, and 3) I've never seen anyone with a full set of green-glow armor.

I plan to give more priority to the pieces which would resell better once I'm done with them... and by "priority," I mean putting the more popular of the resist gems into the items with better bonuses, etc.

The most valuable of the set should easily be the Dark Shinguards of Hedes which I just manufactured the other day (the other three pieces will likely be the standard Serendipitous set). So I'm wondering... what's the most popular elemental soulgem? From what I've seen I'd guess either wood or metal, but I thought I'd ask the forums as well.

EDIT: Well damn, I failed epicly to find the poll option before posting. My bad. XD

Probably metal. Metal will counter priests and archers, the big spikers. Mages are big spikers too, but you'll be hard pressed to defend properly against them seeing as how they have three elements. Wood countering venomancers isn't so good since none of their spells are as damaging as the other 3 classes.

HP is better anyway. Feel free to experiment if you want, but I can tell you now that no matter how many soulgems you add you're not going to get more than 2-3% damage reduction while HP stones will definitely net you more than 2-3% hp.

Metal rocks.... It's like hardcore music for all hardcore people. and Metal gems are for hardcore pros in PvP who have balls to own people because they like rock hard Metal.

Metal Resist is totally the new HP

Yes, I am going for looks... I've never cared about the "best" stats, since you can spend years getting the "best" stats in any given MMO and still be beaten out by some poor guy with even less life than you. :P

IMO, standing out in an MMO requires one of two things: zero life, or just thinking of something very few / no other people do. Often the latter requires sacrificing "perfect stats," but that's one I've always been willing to make. It's all a matter of priority. :)

Thanks for the responses... I hadn't considered that, since I'm trying to sell the shinguards later, I may want to think about PvP considerations (even though I myself never do PvP). So Metal might be best for the shins.

Yeah. I'm just pointing out that if you are going for looks, it doesn't matter what you put because you're going to have to reduce the price or clear the gems out to get anyone to buy them later.
