If so, would you go if it was in a central location? Like......Dallas, Texas? (Hotels and everything else are cheaper there anyway)

    I would dress as my character. Maybe not armor, Skywalker is kinda skimpy. I'm gonna be on the lookout for any PW cosplayers this Otakon though, hehe.

    and why would it be in texas >_>; the headquaters for every MMO company is always in CA, including this one :P

    Dallas is something like 1800 miles away from me and I have no travel budget. So... I wouldn't go to a convention there.

    Given that I'm in the northeast, though, if there was a con in Philadelphia, I might go. Especially if there were free perks like an exclusive mount for people who show up <3

    As for how I'd dress... I don't see myself cosplaying as my character. I certainly wouldn't have the time or money to approximate her LA. I have a chipau in my closet but it looks a little out of place on an Irish girl :) And I don't think my old Ren Faire pirate getup would work at all. So... comfy jeans and blouse!

    I say Texas b/c there are people in far northeast, as above, that wouldn't have to pay as much to go much farther. And vice versa with the northwest. Central locations.

    I ask about this b/c my sister-in-law goes to Comic Con every year which is in CA.
    I'm pretty positive they don't have anything to do with this game there. I figure we could have our own convention for it. :)

    I would totally wear the dress my character has. Or somehow make the armorish look. I mean at this lvl it looks like a floor length a-line skirt anyway. I'd have to find a Summer Chiapo type thing though...........I'm scotch/irish. As long as it isn't pink, yellow, orange or red we can pull it off. (if you are red head, pale, and freckled as I am)

    It could be fun. :)

    PS I have no idea what cosplaying is but i guess it means "dress as character"

    ive been wondering why some foreign names always get butchered into anglo saxon looking words. chipao = qipao in traditional spelling

    other examples include:
    Islamic holy book:
    koran = qu'ran
    Chinese Food:
    Kung Pao = Gong Bao Chicken

    idk im an anal weirdo.

    Chipao is what they have it spelled as in boutique. To me it's just a dress style.

    Ahh there would be too many egos there. We will have fights breakin out, Zoe will be trying to pk people "in real life", and Dvorak will be eating all the food. =(

    Dvorak can have all the food he wants - I'll even buy him a bucket of chicken if he wants. Freebie mounts and I'm there.

    But like I said, it'd have to be in driving distance for me, like 2 hours. CA or TX, it's still a plane ticket that I do not have a budget for. Philly PWI con for the East Coast players? <3

    And yes, cosplaying is dressing like a character :) My dress is green with gold phoenix embroidery ^x^ It looks good on me but, coming from a suburban white Irish background, I feel a little out of place in it XD I'm pale as porcelain with honey hair instead of red, so I don't *look* overtly Irish. (My character doesn't have any fashion yet so it wouldn't be a true cosplay unless I went with the LA...)

    As for calling it Chipau, I was going by the boutique name. I have a mid-length one I got from the local market. I have no clue about how things are spelled before English-speaking people get ahold of them and impose their own phonetic spellings on them. I just knew it was pretty :)

    if it was in cali, LA and what not I would probably go it would only be a 4 hour drive lol no way would I go alone though b:sad

    but then i couldnt really dress like my character i stopped doing the mohawk thing a few years ago and my hair doesnt grow too fast lol

    I would go I suppose. I wouldn't dress up, but I would wear a PWI shirt if they had them. I would enjoy having snacks there too... ^o^ Can we add cookies to the list? Or maybe a chocolate fountain?

    TW's can be canceled for that weekend.

    Everything is always in CA. Never in Texas. Why not dress up?? That's the fun of it! That's PW dedication. :)
