I just started playing PW and cant get anyone to answer ? in the game....can someone tell me how i get a pet? im lvl 10 now........b:cryb:cryb:cry

    first do that tame pet quest thingy. don't remember what level it's at. but you need to get the tame skill from the pet skill trainer. and you can only tame animals that have the little smiley face next to their name. If the face is green you can tame it, if it's red you can tame it when you get to the animal's level.

    you have to be a venomancer to tame and use pets.

    There are two kinds of pets in game.

    The first being venomancer-only pets. Certain monsters can be tamed and made into eggs, then taken to the Pet Manager to hatch. These fight alongside you in battle and can learn skills.

    The second, are all-class pets. These pets are made by venomancers (eg. combining 10 eggs into one all-class pet). However, the kinds are limited to only a few certain species may be tamed and combined into all-class pets. These pets do not aid you in battle and simply follow you around, they usually cost upwards of 200k, depending on the type, server, availability and demand.

    Venomancers get a quest to obtain their first pet at level 2. They can start taming more pets around level 7-10 via another quest (Sacred Beast).

    Venomancers are the only ones who have pets that Do Things. Venomancer pets fight mobs and other players.

    All Class (aka "Baby") pets are the only kind other classes (Wizard, Barbarian, Blademaster, Archer, Cleric) can use. THESE PETS DO NOTHING. They hang out next to the player and look pretty, and cost a pretty penny too. They are made by Venomancers from eggs they have harvested from taming - and it take a lot of eggs to make an All Class pet.

    O_O so basically if you want a useful pet you have 2 b a Venomancer? or else there's no point? can we get more than one pet?

    Yes useful pets are only for venos. An all class pet is strictly bling, and u can have as many as ur pet bag holds. I have heard having a nice distracting fowl pet will help clerics avoid being targeted so quickly....but definately not for me cause the sounds drive me crazy lol

    basically, yes.

    On the upside, the next expansion has a feature coming out for *Everyone*, called Genies. Do a Search on threads titled Genie on the forums here.

    They are kind of like pets, a sort of helper that any class can obtain (at any level), and they will assist you with spells and buffs and such that you train them with. The downside is only if you don't like fairies, because that's what they look like. There's some choice of style and color but that seems to be it, unless their equipement changes their outfit look like player armor does.
