Problem/Question about attack/skill/attack sequence

I don't even know what to search this under, so I thought I'd make a new thread.

It's not really a problem, per se, but a small annoyance. My BM is at lvl 15 and I don't know if the following behaviour is normal or not: during almost every fight, after using a skill, I have to manually re-trigger 'Attack'.

Example: 'Attack' -> Skill-> ...BM uses skill and then stands around doing nothing... -> hit hotkey for 'Attack' -> fight goes on.

Is this normal for a BM, or am I doing something wrong?

Erm well the same thing happens to me. I dont know about the rest but i can tell you it should be normal since it happens to me too. Anyway i am usually an impatient person so I start spamming the attk button and then use a skill and continue spamming lol.

It seems to vary based on which skill you use. For example, if I use Drake's Ray, attacking won't pick up automatically afterwards. For Aeolian Blade, it does. Then some times, my computer or connection lags out, and skills won't automatically attack.

To fix this, just set up a macro that has "[skill] >>> Normal Attack" in it. This is also handy for Spark Eruption after you unlock it. (You can set a macro up to automatically attack after Spark Eruption with "Spark Eruption >>> Normal Attack >>> Normal Attack". A bit too early for your level, though.)

Flying - I suggest you read both BM guides. And go from there. That should help you out.

    Hey
I think you should read these two guides...
    1) http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=143481
    2) http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=193141

They clearly state which skills to level and for what purpose, so that should help.

There are a number of reasons why your BM stops attack after initial skill:

If you use drake ray which is a range skill, auto-attack will not follow because...well..it's range. In many situations, it is benefitial to use range skill to pull a mob without having your BM run up to them due to auto-atk.

Also, if you press the same skill hotkey more than once or hold it for a little too long, your BM will also stop attacking after your first skill because he'll try to launch a second atk of the same skill while it's still in cooldown.

So the best way is to press a skill/macro hotkey once, as crisp as possible. And don't end your macro chain with drake ray.

    Hope that helps.
