Inventory extension stone = dud?

I bought one just a few minutes ago, got the banker's quest, gave it to him, and nothing happened. I tried relogging, but my inventory's still only 32 slots. Did I miss something?

    Did you try scrolling up/down in your inventory? Do you still have the stone?
