Clerics that use melee and buffs?

Hey is it possible to make a cleric that uses str and dex to attck, but uses buffs and heals to make him/her stronger.

If there is a build plz tell me. Thxb:pleased

    Yeah, if you want to use buffs to strengthen melee...
    Squad with a blademaster or barbarian. They will love you for it.

    If you look at the descriptions of the Cleric skills, they can only be cast while wielding MAGIC instruments (wands, patakas, glaives, magic swords) or barehanded. Those weapons have physical damage only as an after-thought, and you don't want to try melee combat barehanded.

    Personally, the only time I've ever purposefully done melee damage was when I was swatting Lv8 Petite Sawflies with my wand. I needed to lure them down closer to the ground so a Venomancer friend of mine could try taming one. Our combat skills would instantly one-shot-kill the poor little bugs, so... swat!

    if u want melee go play a barb or a BM, where did u get an idea as stupid as a melee cleric?

    If you want to experiment go for it, even if the build ends up a fail, which it will atleast you will know neva to do that build again.

    You can try FAC, but it's still ranged. Like someone else said, clerics don't have any melee attacks that can be leveled.

    Meh, the build should be bad enough that he'll probably give up early lvl. It's not like, say, a bow veno, which is good enough to keep the person playing for a while. Melee cleric is outright nonviable. b:chuckle

    Not really. If you are looking for a "Paladin" class you are in the wrong game. Clerics here are mages. The only time we hit stuff is slightly before the mob kills us because we are too close. b:shocked
