How can you disband a Faction?

I joined a faction several months ago, which has since steadily lost active members (NOT my fault b:sad). For the last couple weeks, it has been only the Leader and myself, and then 2 days ago, she named me leader and quit. Now I discover that a Leder cannot resign without first appointing another leader (apparently it needs to be "in person", i.e., the appointee must be on line). No other members are active, and I am not about to recruit someone, name them Leader, and quit. Not my style.

So the only thing I can think of to do is to kick the entire (inactive) roster. Can anyone tell me if that will work? Can a Leader with no followers then resign? Otherwise I will be stuck as a 1-person guild forever. (Didn't want to be Leader, not ever. Not about to try to build up a guild from what is effectively zero members right now.)

    You gotta kick everyone out then in Archosaur (584, 664) you talk to the guild/faction NPC and s/he has an option to disband completely.

    Edit: I don't know for sure if just kicking everyone out then resigning then leaving will work, but a sure fact is doing the above.

    no need to kick as long as your leader and its not a lvl 2 or 3 faction then you can disband it at the faction supervisor in archo, you have to disband the faction just kicking everyone will just make you the lead of an empty faction

    Thanks for the info; never started a faction, so I didn't even know how that was done. Now all I need to do is locate this NPC lady...

    No, you can only disband a guild by going to the NPC lady.

    If its a lv 2-3 faction, your going to have to assign an alt of yours or something (friends alt)..the leader b:chuckle then you can then delete that character. I'm assuming it is since your leader left you like that >.< sorry

    Thanks for the help i had the same problem but this time a random guy invited me n i accepted accidently, he promoted me leader and quit, i was panicking because i did not want to be in a faction that have no member nor neither did i want to start one.
