I was thinking of starting a healer wizard, does anyone have experience in this?

Don't bother. You only have one healing skill, it's channeling time is ridiculously long and it doesn't even heal a lot, if you compare it to cleric skills. Just... don't.
Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.

A wizard heal is there to take care of the occasional hit in between battles when the wizard is soloing.

There are certain times a wizard is "ok" as a secondary healer, but this will be lvl59+ when you can combine it with sutra, or if the primary cleric is taking AoE damage once every...5 seconds or so.

In short: Primary healer wizard is not viable. And while we're here, sticking to one element isn't advisable either. No "water wizards" or "fire wizards" in PW.

Can you actually heal through the damage in those rooms? 9 and 30 I can do by just running, 47 I can't see being beaten by a wiz below 90 without some insane gear and apoth items.

yeah wizard heal is nowhere near cleric unless maybe if we have it at lv 10 and we are competing with a lv 40 cleric...
we can heal ALOT if we use sutra. you can save a party from being wiped with that but that dosnt happen very often because u need two sparks

Doesn't that mean you'll catch aggro and die?b:chuckle

No, healing someone hardly draws agro.

I meant in the mentioned partywipe situation, that may include a lot of swarming mobs that no one hit.
