no spark in rotation

Hey fellow archers

When i do my daily grinding, ive notice that i very rare use my sparks when killing monsters. i rely alot on frost arrow, winged shell and knockback arrow

frost arrow -> auto -> auto -> knockback

or

winged shell -> auto -> auto -> knockback.

Maybe a stun or light if too many miss.

any suggestion on better use for sparks on grind, or does it have a higher purpose??

    aim low if mob is increased movement speed or knockback in cooldown

    spark eruption if you just wanna kill faster or mob is increased life or something

    I wouldn't worry about using sparks until after you get advanced spark eruption at 59. That can easily let you kill 2 mobs at a time.

    anyone has used sickle leaf tea to good effects? im starting apoc just to get my hands on those...cuz dual spark is sooo efficient

    also, it's possible to only need knockback for some mobs. they may be a few lvls lower but still white. that can build up chi fast. even if you take a hit occasionally dual spark will heal that

    It is useful if you accidentally aggro another monster. You can finish off the current one, cast Winged Shell, and then spark to finish it off before it takes off too much of your health.

    I use it in my rotation against Increased Life monsters, but note that, after level 60, most monsters have ranged attacks. I never used it prior to level 65, I think.

    i dont use spark eruption at all, my grinding is usually just

    i need all the chi i can get for those skills, especially when i need aimlow for increased life and increased defense mobs.

    personally i think using spark eruption is a waste of chi, theres probably much better methods of using chi, wingedshell for mp regen/dmg absorb so u dont need pots, frost arrow to keep mob from reaching u, aim low to freeze mob, if u use all those skills u should not have chi to play with spark eruption.

    if u get spawned on by another mob, if u are not sure u can tank the 2nd mob while killing the 1st, just run.

    do you have take aim lvl 1 , or is it lvled, because if its kept at 1, thats a quick chi builder

    On my archer the only time I used spark was pking.. if the person didn't have a charm I just sparked right away and killed them extremely fast, or just used it as a counter to the charm tick time (as soon as their charm ticked a spark and use normal shots.. 'nuff said.)

    Really it depends if you want to grind safely or grind quickly. Sure you could wing shell and frost every mob but when on a scroll time is money. Grinding quickly also means more drops and in the 80s you can get 250k / hour... more than enough to cover the higher charm costs and xp scroll.

    when i am under scroll, i stop using wing shell and just move from 1mob to the next using frost arrow.
    i used spark eruption before for grinding, it usually saves me maybe...3seconds over all compared me to just frost arrow>hit. using frost arrow>hit, i regain chi very slowly, so maybe like a advanced spark eruption every... 40+mobs.

    however if someone is using a different combo which regains chi faster, spark eruption might be better.(though u have to take into account time it take to use skills, compared to normal attack rate, and the time for frost arrow, if u do no frost and just normal attack, u would save about 0.7sec per mob at the risk of taking 1-2 hit per mob)

    under spark i need about 1-2 shots less to kill a mob, and the spark usually last about 2 mob, i save a max 4 shots which is about 5.3sec, take away 2 second for sparking, i save a max of 3 seconds for my grinding, and well... i take safety over the maybe 30second i would save over 1hr, even under scroll

    Really its personal preference I think :) Maybe I just feel that sparking left and right is more gratifying. On undines at least using one stunning shot or knockback with normal arrows tended to be enough to keep you safe.

    You can also use chi for a barrage of arrows if you come across a cluster of 3-4 enemies. Advanced spark lets you kill about 2 fish while Demon spark lets you kill 4-5 fish in 15 seconds.

    Ok Hows everyone,


    I made a pure dex archer absolutely nothing in hp just enough in str to wear the gear. Most often what happens for me is i end the mob in 3 to 4 hits. Never gets near me. My pattern for killing is Take Aim or Deadly Shot then Serrated Arrow and maybe Poison Arrow Knockback and a lightning attack of some type.
    Repeat as needed lol. Usually i don't get past Deadly Shot Serrated and knockback before the mob is down. 17% crit for the win Woootb:victory
    BTW Soryen is my Archer on the same server.
