tank vs dd?

I want to know what everyone think on DD and Tanks whats the best u all think and why. Im a hybrid and it works for me but want to know the ups and down of both pure dd and tank

    as i played barb i used a "DD build" first till lvl55 (3 str 1 vit 1 dex) and then only put points on str and vit (3 str 2 vit ).
    so in the end my barb would be totally tank build.
    it worked pretty fine ... i lvled quite fast and could tank any bosses at that lvl, even fb29 at lvl30.
    a vit build at lower lvls is a waste imo, since u have a very low accuracy and it slows down your lvling, but later you really need it for the big TT bosses or as cata puller in TWs.

    neither is the "best" .. its a game you play to do what you want..

    Ups of a tank.. **** ton of hp.. needed by almost every squad.. key to TW,TT,FBs (well atleast the bosses that can't be done by hercs)

    Downs.. low damage.. low accuracy.. kill stuff slow .. makes for slow leveling if you dunno what you are doing.. but if you can find lots of fbs.. or you do cube.. or you do rebirth order quests.. leveling still comes fairly quickly

    cube of fate... daily thing you can do when you get to lvl 40 .. although its really hard to try and beat at level 40.. there are guides in dungeons and tactics
