Ok how are you supposed to do this? I just can't lure it to the right spot. I almost had it once but got stuck on the glass or whatever it is and couldnt get to my herc to heal. Then I died. I don't have a charm and have 1.7k hp. O_o
I tried using bramble but it doesn't seem to last long enough.
I can tell the boss is very easy aswell. It's just that damn aoe...

I've never personally lured it, so I'm afraid I can't help you too much in that dept, I'm curious how your hp ended up low though, if you built pure magic, what do your gear and shards add? all defense or something else as opposed to hp?
Charm would help of course, as would apothecary items and some sesame if you can find them for sale. Hope someone explains the luring thing for you.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Without enough HP to eat an aoe or two the only advice I can give is to kite him. Get him pulled as far away from the center as you can without getting hit, then kite along the outer perimeter until he is far enough away from aggroing the Davincis. You can tell your pet to Stay which will give you enough distance to heal and move. Rinse and repeat until you're happy with his positioning.
On a somewhat side note: what gems are you using? 1.7k HP sounds awfully low at 70 even for a pure magic build.0 -
hmm, well I'm not sure about you but what I usually do is summon herc, buff up, alt +1, as the herc hit the boss once move back a bit then click on the button that makes your pet comes back to you. as herc is making his way back to you put up hood, once the boss gets to the max range of his AOE, alt + 1 again, move out of the AOE range then heal.0
-
AS SEEN IN MY GUIDE O:
put herc there, on halt. (make sure hes self buffed) goto dimi, pelt him, and apply hood. then run like hell to herc, alt + 1 as soon as dimi tries to get a second AOE off, then run behind the cubes and start healing again. Never fails man :O. (THIS IS WHY I HAVE VIT LOL)0 -
Lol I went to go make some apoth pots and the thing reset. 10% lost...but I did make like 70k profit. :S
I will try again when I get a little higher. Also gonna put some citrine shards in my armor. I just have a bunch of garnet shards in there now. O_o0 -
with my **** poor def, i take ~600 dmg in hood out of about 3.3k hp which isnt much o:. (only 588 pdef lul)
you should be able to take a hit if you have the charm/ pots to back it up in hood mate.0 -
hopefully I can try this again tomorrow. I'm at 0.0% exp.
But what does this boss usually drop and how much? What does vipenalt drop also.0 -
Dimentora drops Broken shard of gold armour and vipenalt drops ancient serpent skin (Tt1-2). 1 sometimes 2 per kill mostly.0

Lies. I did dimentora with no cleric, charm AND low hp when I was the only person in the dungeon at all. It just requires good use of bramble hood.Main characters
Celestial Sage Venomancer Zoe - 100
Sage Barbarian Malego - 910 -

It is doable, but really hard. she will not be able to take second hit if she do not have a charm, she will take around 900 damage from dimentora's aoe even with hood. I usually have to take 2 or 3 hits before I send pet back in to make sure dimentora no longer on the platform. there is no enought space in the room to kitting.0 -

FRAPS, screenshot or it didnt happen b:bye0 -
yeah zoe dont be misleading, its darn well possible to actually make it to behind the block before he catches up and avoid getting a second hit. Takes practice of when to press the attack button, and requires herc to be positioned well, but is darn well possible :P.
if you get to the snake, make sure you center him in the room so the hands on the walls dont blow up your herc. no point in fighting all the monsters patrolling unless youre on 1-3 and want apocs.0 -

Zoe is not lying, I did it once by accident, I forget to put a new charm on before I start to lure the boss, and my old charm run out before I get to the boss. I was even wondering why my charm would not break when my HP is below 50%. b:laugh but I have much much more HP and Pdef then OP.0 -
I normally just lure the boss like a normal mob.
Send in herc, let it hit once, unsummon, run into a corner(be careful though, if you go too deep into the wall in the corner, pet wont summon) then bramble, resummon, send herc to boss. Only get hit once and I have bramble on so it bearly scratches me(was light armor at the time), and hes far enough away from his minions.(albeit bearly, wouldnt recomend aoe'ing) but it works.
Also, if you are with another person, just Halt herc in the back and have the other person go through the teleporter. The boss will run in a circle around the outer edge, then you have herc hit it when it passes by.0 -
The way I lure is this:
Stand right next to the south wall of the enclosure and spawn herc. Buff it up and tell heel it (make it stand on that spot).
Then select dimentora and move yourself towards the center. Wait until it positions itself away from the middle portal, and make sure the mobs patrolling above are not close (better yet if you have time kill them all).
Turn on summer sprint, and run into portal. This way you will agro dimentora, but since he has to channel, you will teleport before he hits you.
As soon as you spawn above, run anti clockwise and watch the red dot on the radar. When the red dot reaches your pet, Alt-1 and drop down, making sure you are well away from its AOE.
Now if you did it right, he should be position with his front towards you. This is crucial if you want to avoid the 007 agro switch.
This way you don't waste mana/sparks on b'hood, I've even done it without summer sprint without it hitting me, so 0 mana loss.
I've done this over 40 times, it has never failed and I've never died.0 -

I did not see anyone mention this, so maybe all of you already know, but: his AoE is short range, and directional.0
-
His aoe is actually, short-range On target. That is it will hit short range around his target, so dont run your herc back to you. x.x0

I was told this the first time I ever killed him. Subsequent experience has told me that it is roughly 15m centered around his current target.0 -

Place herc at the position shown, tell it to stay there, buff it fully.
2) http://i40.tinypic.com/2vbwrd1.jpg
Run to middle and select dimentora. wait until armour is not standing directly over the portal. When he is standing to the side, check the radar to see where the upstairs enemies are. If its clear, turn on summer spirit and run to the portal.
3) http://i43.tinypic.com/2iuasyw.jpg
As soon as you spawn, run anti clockwise. Armour is now agro'd, it will channel its magic attack, fail (because you are out of range) and will follow you. When you see the red dot on the radar come close to your pet icon, press Alt+1.
4) http://i41.tinypic.com/1zf55cm.jpg
Once you are sure herc is attacking the boss (he will take a hit, lose HP), look at radar, make sure you are out of his AOE range and drop down. As soon as you land, spam pet heal.
If you did it right, the armour should be facing you, as shown in the picture. This removes any chance of you dying due to twilight 007.

After 25+ mins of pet heal spamming..... Profit!0 -
Okay didnt wanna start a new topic but is there a way to lure... uhm.. For example right before you get out into the big room where Lord of Percussion is... But first u have to kill those mobs which are running around out there. Cause when u stand right outside, and the opening into that room is so small and u cant barely see anything of that room.. and the mobs are running pass so fast I just cant target them to pull em out.. Seems just impossible.. Or is there actually a way to do it?? Hope that any sense... lol*Semi retired*0

I don't get all the kiting stuff and hooding,i stand right at wall with summer sprint on,send herc, hit boss, make herc run back to me and stick on halt and do a heal just as soon as hercs in range of it and go running along the outer edge until im far enough away of aoe, heal herc and attack boss and voila not been hit once and hercs still alive, and herc is always far enough away from the davincis with this.Quit 100%...and surprised my forum account wasn't banned...yet0

Dementora Broken and Busted
Took me all day before I got the techniques down. Even took me one death when demontora was at 20% to remember to always put my herc buffs up before the boss. But now I can kill him anytime I want...easily.
The snake after him got owned aswell.
Pure mag ftw. LoL0 -

garnet shards are better.
And Lol @ the people saying 900 dmg in hood. I'm using cosmos stuff all +phys blues with some garnet shards and he only hit me 400-500 with bramble up. 1300 p def.0
