cube space pet leveling?

Could you guys explain to me how this is done? I've read a few bits here and there, tried some searches but couldn't find anything helpfull.

Do I really need a bow?

Haven't done the cube yet at all, maybe I would figure it out if I tried, but I have to go to work soon... so maybe I can get a little assistance from you all instead :)

    If you're asking how you can level your pet in cube, then get a few dice tickets (Make them at the forges in room 1, mirage stones needed). Talk to the room 1 NPC and proceed your way to room 3 (or 4, not sure now). The room's name is "mice bashing". All mobs are level 150 and die in 1 hit.

    And no, you dont need a bow, venomous scarab is more than enough.
