Hello everyone, its Vash the ARCHER from Dreamweaver. As some of you may know, I have a clone. There is a cleric named \/ash (with slashes), and in-game I have been pm'd or mistaken for him so many times because our names look identical. It's insane!
Examples of my woes, listed by frequency:
1) "ZOMG vash y did u leave bloodpact?!!?!1"
2) "(insert random question or statement)"
3) "Hi honey its matsu! o.o~"

Okay, so that last one only happened once, but yes, his girlfriend pm'd me, thinking I was him. They are both lucky I am a nice guy, or I could have done some meeeeaaannn things to their relationship. b:sin

So here's the poll for everyone: do you have a clone who causes ridiculous amounts of confusion and aggravation? Post your doppelganger-related problems here!

    I have run across a few different spellings of my name popping up lately. but what do you expenct with so short a limit to character name.

    There's apparently someone called Zephyrus in RageQuit that tries to imitate the original Zephyr of course. And people in other games that tries to imitate the Zephyr name.

    To my knowledge, no, but there was an accusation leveled at me about a level 9 on one of the new servers. Strange.

    The new servers allowed names currently in use on the other servers to be re-used. If you want to keep your identity sacrosanct, you can make characters on the new servers using your HT/Sanc/LC character names. (Dunno if using a name on Dreamweaver blocks it from Harshlands.)

    Currently you can make each name on a different server I think. So a ASDF on Dreamweaver and ASDF at Harshlands could both exists at the same time.

    Barbs should have a 50% HP reduction..... Mages should 2X mana cost increase...... BM's shouldn't be allowed to use weapons at all...... Archers should throw shoes and boots at the enemy..... Clerics should only be able to heal npc's.... Veno's should have a minimum of 5 phoenix's at level 1

    There are lots of clones or near clones on Sanctuary. Fortunately I have none.

    I've got TWO clones. Funny story. I started out with an original Furiae name, and made Furiae_X so I could help my friend with her Quests since she was at a lower level (I couldn't remember how to do them so I made a new character b:chuckle).

    Well anyway, I ended up deleting the original Furiae, and just recently, I found a player with the name Furriae and another with MY ORIGINAL Furiae name! b:shocked I couldn't believe it!

    There is someone who IMO is a clone of me. When I first tried to make my first male character I tried to name him Renvar because that's the name I almost always use for my first male character on any game but I was told the name was already in use. So although the person beat me to naming their character Renvar on this game, since I've been using that name for over 10 years now on several MMOs, I think its someone who saw my name on another game and liked it and so copied it and so is my clone.

    So I just named my character Renvaar instead. My next male character will pry be something along the lines of Original_Renvar. I've been wondering if I'll ever run into him. Hopefully they're not tarnishing the "Renvar" name by being an a-hole. b:angry

    The first MMO I ever played, I played in the mid to early 90s and I'm thinking thats when I first named a character Renvar.

    Lol I purposely left out a "No" option...what would be the point? I wanted to get a count of people who HAVE clones, not those who don't. b:chuckle

    It's funny tho, cuz my clone seems to be a nice guy but a lot of people seem to hate him too b:shocked
