what are clestone fragments for

i almost find no use of them. what are they for and how do i use them?

    You can turn them in to make mirage stones. Mirage stones are used to upgrade your equipment to a +X. There is a high failure rate though.

    Also, the place to turn them into mirage stones is the Gem Merchant, in the form of a quest.
