Sage or Demon?

Just a poll. Please answer if you are going to be, (or already are) sage or demon, and the reason why you chose that path. I just want a rough idea as to the population of each, and see how the war between good and evil is playing out.b:chuckle

I chose Sage for a few reasons.

1: The demon fairy is ugly. b:chuckle

2: I don't like evil

3: I prefer more consistent damage rather than the chance based things demon gives.

    the demon fairy lvl1 is ugly, but lvl 2 and 3 are nice ^^

    Yes you have to be level 89 and do the 89 cultivation quest.

    the hamburger is so small i cant even notice that its ugly when it's circling around other people. all i see is a glowing red something.

    Venomous scarab demon, wood weakness for 6 seconds. Not enough time to do anything before it wears off. Fail

    Ironwood scarab demon, 20% chance to make def 0 but if that does not work it has no effect at all. Fail

    Demon fox form, you run fast, big deal. I can run 15.0 whenever I want. Fail.

    Need I continue?

    I think you made your decision based on the above post... not because of the stuff you listed in the first post.
    The skills you describe are far from fail. They simply do not fit your play style. Most people choose demon or sage based on how they play the game.

    But, if any of you are still undecided, go with sage.
    I went sage because it matches my outfit better and demons are evil and only for pvp. I'm a nice person who would never do such things.

    Get fast channel, Crystalized has -35% i believe.

    Look at the sage skill, it does the same reduction for a bit longer. Please consider how much damage you could do to a target with 0 defense.

    Demon Windwalk = antistun and faster speed, combine it with foxform and it makes you faster than a bm or barb all the time, id rather save my pots for spark/damage reduction.

    Also, if you think that choosing demon is going to make you an evil person, you fail.

    I went sage because I liked the white fairy fit my outfit better than the demon fairy...

    But really I went Sage for the hp boost of true form. Though the better damage of demon has its perks as well. There were a few other reasons for picking sage, some spells are better sage, some are better demon, but the true form one was the difference maker.

    neither path is fail. demon ironwood might as well be a 20% chance for someone else to crit repeatedly (that can include your pet, you know...that nix).

    I looked at the skill bonuses and choose the path that I thought suited best my style of play.

    When the first thing you see is something so hidious it makes you want to quit your character the higher level ones don't matter. :p

    Another reason for sage for me. The sage npc talks about getting rid of greed and things like that. You all know by now how I feel about greed.....

    That ALONE made it the only possible choice for me.

    I like ugly. Strike phear into <3s of mobs, and whatnot.

    nixes can't crit, that would be freakin insane

    in those 6 seconds of -30% wood dmg, i usually cast ironwood and stun, then repeat the venomous scarab for another -30%. And it's really alot more effective then "a 20% chance of gaining extra chi"

    0 def has no effect at all? that's like a 60% amplify for ur pet or if ur in a pt with other phy atkers. oh but wait i guess haveing an extra 10 secs of -40% armor break is better. This skill is really a toss up, if u pvp then i would choose the 0 def, because that plus nix is usually ****. however if u do alot of hh and bosses or mobs then yea i guess i could see how adding 10 seconds is helpful....kinda

    Fox form for sage is one of the only skills (besides the aoe debuff) that is useful for veno. but oh wow, u have so much def in fox form that u can tank stuff but cannot kill it. but if u have a nix u can kite so i guess yea(for air fights and phy mobs at least). however if u have hell u can kite better (on ground) as ur a **** load faster then warriors or barbs.

    shoulda had a "cant decide" option in the poll. i'm most likely going to go demon, because the reduced cooldown on the self heals appeals to me. then again im too poor to buy the skills so i might as well base my decision purely on looks, in which case the final stage demon is the one i like better. sure, ill need to look at the ugly tomato head for a while, but it isnt permanent. just an awkward, ugly phase. kinda like puberty.

    When I get to it (maybe a few years from now, judging by the grinding b:chuckle) I plan to go heaven.

    Reasons:
    1. 10% More HP, 60% more Pdef.
    2. Almost the same damage as demon, maybe 15% less. (Demon trueform allows for full damage in tigerform, but sage versions of other skills/buffs also add more damage.)
    3. Demon is must for a PK barb (insane crit %, over 35% possible) but I am a PvE care bear and prefer a better tank toon.

    Sage i belive gives you more time, more distance as a suport cleric it will work better in helping you save your ****, to come back and rev your team in case of ... fail.

    but stil deamon looks to be more of atack, chaneling, str: so its like "Fast and Furious" super cool b:pleased

    I haven't fully decided, but probably will go Sage. Why?

    1. I don't PK, so I wouldn't be able to fully use what Demon offers. For example, Mo Zun's Taunt would be useful only in duels. Otherwise, completely useless spell for pve.
    2. I need more stable performance and hit rates now, I get enough critical hits already. Demon with increased critical hits sounds good and tempting, but it is too much based on luck. I test my luck too often, so I for me it would be better to improve the performance between "lucky strikes".

    P.S.
    3. Sage faerie would better suit to my dress and birdy b:victory (Not like this would really matter...)

    I will be going sage because sage's color scheme goes well with my hair and clothes, and because I think I will like its quest line, and because I feel I could do well enough with either line of skills.
