cat shop issue when selling

I cant sell to the cat shops and I'm not sure why. when I try to sell things to them that they have in their basket the item slots are diabled. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?b:thanks

    Do you drop the item on top of the item that is in their basket? It's an incredibly **** system, but that's how it works and where most people mess up.

    Once you drop the item onto the symbol in their basket, it appear in the "sell" box.
