hi, so im looking at perfect world, and wow, it looks really cool, kinda reminds me of a mix between ragnarok online and wow but different in alot of ways

so before i began playing i had some questions first

1. if someone buys something in the cash shop can they trade it to other players, or sell it in player shops/auction house

1.1 if you can sell stuff, do people, i mean is it rare to see people selling cash shop items or do people do it fairly often (cuz i dont mind grinding for a while longer so i dont have to spend as much real money, i just want to be able to get stuff without murdering my wallet)

2. how do you guys rate the PvP content in this game, from the sound of territory battles they sound rad

3. are there PvE dungeons, and if so how are they, are they way to easy? way to hard? or just about right?

4. please tell me your favorite part about this game, i just want to hear what people love to do while in game

5. how is the in game community (for reference i HATED the WoW community buncha jerks if you ask me)

6. are the clans helpful, and can you get into a good clan if you dont buy cash shop items?

7. anything else you wanna tell me about would be great

anyways see ya all soon in the perfect world right ;p

    1. You can sell cash shop items via auction house, trading, and cat shops.
1.1. There are a good quantity of cash shop items available from players. Also, you can use in-game money to buy gold to purchase cash shop items.
    2. Territory wars are fun. Pking is fun. PvPing is fun.
3.The dungeons or fbs are well-balanced in the game. It's not hard to find a helpful party - quite easy actually.
    4. Wraith events for many different reasons.
    5. Good bunch. Close-knit compared to many other mmos.
    6. It's not hard to join a clan. It's even easier to make one.
    7. Play the game. It's always better to see and judge for yourself.

P.S. I'll edit my answers/ add more later. Or not.

1: Yes, pretty much all items are tradeable, and many items are very easy to find such as Exp scrolls and Angels. You can also purchase cash shop gold from any auctioneer in the game using in-game coins.
    2: No experience.
3: Yes there are many dungeons, typically one every 10 levels starting at 19. There are also separate dungeons like Twilight Temple and Frostcovered City that serve as this games "raids". Max squad size is 6 either way though. The lower level ones tend to be on the difficult side if done with a level appropriate squad, but you can get a run thru from high levels very easily. The higher level ones are about right I suppose, though most bosses tend to be tank-n-spank.
4: Favorite part, I don't have to log on 4-5 hours a night 5 times a week and hope for a drop, and that it's my turn for that drop. Smaller squad sizes make farming mats for gear easier, and you can always buy the mats in a pinch.
5: All game communities have their share of ***holes. This is no different.
6: There are many helpful factions, and few care how much you spend on the game. Hardcore TW factions may be different, but I haven't heard anything along those lines.
7: D/L the game, try it out. It's a lot of fun, but I suppose not for everyone. Only one way to find out.

Basically it's an invasion of mobs at a randomly chosen city somewhere in the world. The level of the mobs depends on where it takes place at, a level 50-ish area will have lvl 50-ish mobs for example. Wraith invasions are good for Dog Tags which can be turned in for rep, Celestones, and lots of Dragon Quest drops.

sweet, that kinda sounds like a thing i heard they used to do in ultima online :D

hey one more question do you know the exchange rate for in game money to cash shop money? (and if you can maybe a little comparason like a lvl 50 weapon costs how much in game money, so i can kinda get a feel for how much in game money is worth)

also in pvp servers, are their alot of groups of people that come around and rage you so they can steal your items?

Gold:coin ratio depends a lot on the server, on Sanc right now it's about 110-115k per gold. Equipment costs will depend on how you are willing to invest. You can get by with basic stuff, but there are plenty of "epic" options that can get pricey.

You can buy cs items with in-game money.

Low end pvp no more . Pvp is basically broken cause of a single pet. Pace is extremely slow. Targeting is a pain and TW are always on the same map. Did i say Territory war?? Oopps i mean phoenix war...

Give it a try if you're new to pvp otherwise i suggest skiping this part.

    3. are there PvE dungeons, and if so how are they, are they way to easy? way to hard? or just about right?

Easy and boring cause of a pulling glitch used by veno.

    4. please tell me your favorite part about this game, i just want to hear what people love to do while in game

    Social and grinding

    Most ppl are really cool

    Depend...

    that's not a glitch. that's the the veno's job in a dungeon.

how easy the dungeons are depends on how you're doing them. if you want to finish them with same-lvl players it will be a challenge, but usually you get a squad of high lvl players (they get good xp for helping low lvls with their dungeons) who cut through the mobs very fast.

you can get along without spending real money very well. the only really useful things are hp charms and angels at the higher lvls, and they're cheap in the catshops.

Looks like Im the only LC who gonna answer this lol. There are a lot of people who PK you just for your stuff. You will only drop if you fight back tho (your name changes color). Btw, you can only PK after lvl 30. PvP severs are basically constant PK (but its kind of rare to be PKed in lower lvl areas; I hear from guildies that the Wraith Swamp((lvl 60+)) is like PKing madness) unless you are in a safe zone. Safe zones (SZ's) are very common, they are every city (there are a few oddballs of very small towns that are not SZ's). I suggest you download the game and have fun!! PW RULZ!! LOST CITY CERVER RULZ TOO WOOT!!! :P

    1. if someone buys something in the cash shop can they trade it to other players, or sell it in player shops/auction house

Yes, the majority of things can be sold/traded through players and the AH. I *think* there might be one or two things that are bound to the buyer, but I could be mistaken.

1.1 if you can sell stuff, do people, i mean is it rare to see people selling cash shop items or do people do it fairly often (cuz i dont mind grinding for a while longer so i dont have to spend as much real money, i just want to be able to get stuff without murdering my wallet)

It's fairly common to see people selling boutique items - I can't think of a space of 5 min in game where I haven't seen someone shouting over the World Chat. And then of course there are all the player-kitty shops...

However, making money can be both hard, and easy, depending on how much you grind for it. Skills take a big chunck of your wallet, and repair bills for BMs and Barbs seem to only climb higher as you level. Depending on what you want from the boutique, you may spend a lot - most items on Sanc cost anywhere from 100k - 5 million coins (teles & angels are ususally the exception).

    2. how do you guys rate the PvP content in this game, from the sound of territory battles they sound rad

I can't speak for this version, however, I am familiar with the general idea. The only real issue I have with the PvP content is that there's no level restrictions- a level 80 can come out of no where and one-shot a level 30. On PvP servers (Lost City & Harshlands), you are forced into PvP mode the second you hit level 30. On PvE servers (Sanctuary, Heaven's Tear, Dreamweaver), you are given the option to go into PvP mode any time after level 30 - you can turn it off after 10 hours, if you want, or keep it on.

TW content is supposed to be awesome, however, I've never participated. If you're interested, I suggest joining a TW faction on whatever server you're on. Fair warning, though....most of the established "land owners" are probably recruiting at least level 60+ players on the older servers, and probably around 40+ on the newer servers.

    3. are there PvE dungeons, and if so how are they, are they way to easy? way to hard? or just about right?

Most dungeons are PvE. As said in a lot of posts above, it depends on your party's level - someone much higher will blow through it in a few minutes without a problem, while a party about 20 levels higher might still have a hard time, but not an insanely hard one. An on-level party might find it a real challenge, or just difficult - depends on the party's composition.

    4. please tell me your favorite part about this game, i just want to hear what people love to do while in game

I love exploring. My bf and I will just wandering around areas on a land mount, enter dungeons we know we'll die in because we're 30 levels too low... the in-game graphics are absolutely amazing, and a lot of the scenery can be absolutely breath-taking.

Oh, and seeing 4-5 digits of damage pop up every time I hit a mob is kinda fun ^^

    5. how is the in game community (for reference i HATED the WoW community buncha jerks if you ask me)

As stated somewhere before, every game has their share of...jerks. Kill-stealing is common, and most players over level 70+ seems to have a high and mighty attitude. Be careful when you run the FB dungeons, as many people are only out for the xp and won't care about what you actually need to get done. But then again, what else can you expect from 12 year olds with superiority complexes.

However, that's not entirely the majority. A lot of the players seem to be quite nice, and willing to help when needed. Depending on how often you speak to people and party with them, you can make some really great friends.

    6. are the clans helpful, and can you get into a good clan if you dont buy cash shop items?

Clans are supposed to be helpful, however, there are a few who aren't very. Most, however, will be very willing to answer questions, help with FBs/bosses/events. Good factions are incrediably easy to get into, just meet the level requirement, if there are any at all.

If there's a clan out there that requires you to buy items from the cash shop, I wouldn't join it. I also wouldn't start a faction without actually thinking about it first.

    7. anything else you wanna tell me about would be great

TRY EVERYTHING. Perfect World has dozens of things to do, from dungeons, to quests, to grinding....you can get married in game if you're willing to spend the cash, you can go rare pet hunting if you roll a venomancer, there are half a dozen events that occur weekly that you can participate in. Also, try every class - just cause you're used to playing the tank in WoW doesn't mean it'll work for you in PW - you aren't "stuck" playing anything, and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.
