The Ballad of Radiance

Come and listen to a story about the leader of Rad
A poor mountaineer, whose guild was very sad
Then one day she was a recruting on world chat
And up through the ground came a barbarian who was fat

Wargasm that is, Fools gold, fail player

Well the first thing you know's old war left the guild
Kinfolk said "all high lvls join us on the field"
Said "TW is the place you ought to be"
So they loaded up the truck and took over most the territory

Map, that is. all level lands, income

Well now it's time to say good by to Rad and all its lands
And they would like to thank you Enrage fer the power has shifted hands
All you Rad's are invited to go to other places
Charity doesn even log in to bid now, scared of all your faces

First leader of Radiance was KittyKat. And at that time it was not a sad guild, and the plans for the guild were much different than what they became later.

Then one day she was a recruting on world chat

Wargasm joined the guild the first day the server opened. He was not recruited on world chat, but decided to join Radiance upon reading the forums before the server opened.

"Shifted hands?" Right. I think you mean the hands just changed the color of their gloves. With a faction that's around 30% ex-Rad members, I don't know if I'd call that a shift in power. More like a merger.

oh wait Im already over the 100%. Enrage is a fair mix of ALL guilds. Yes we have ex radiance there. we also have "ex" from every other guild there is too. If its a merger then its a merger of all guilds on HT.. oh wait thats pretty much what EVERY guild is.

The people who came to Enrage for the most part are people who wanted to get away from their current guilds because they did NOT LIKE them or DID NOT like the way they were ran. Usually when a merger happens its a mutual thing of 2 guilds combining with like minded ideas, goals, etc etc. Definately not what I would call the people who were coming to Enrage, since they came to get away from the ideas, rules, and leadership of other guilds.

Enrage is proof that a guild doesnt need to be ran like a daycare, or a bootcamp, with 99 rules or a dictator to be sucessful.

b:chuckle no the power has shifted from casual gamers to hardcore ones. b:pleased personally I am glad that Enrage has come along I think Radiance needed to be toned down a lot anyway. b:thanks we were getting way to big and most Rads are drama intolerant and it was starting to get to be a pain to find the next target without hurting anyones feelings. Yah its a game but people play the game.

btw I have almost fully adopted to calling enrage Sheep. I think that is a far better name for em. Enrage is soft and cuddly yes? Many people believe Enrage smells yes? But those near Enrage don't smell it cause they are used to it yes? And if you get too close to Enrage they bite and sheep bite hard b:sad

also although I don't exactly agree with the premise on which they conduct bussiness I respect them because they are good but I think they shouldn't flaunt it so much.

I don't think Radiance ever did a WC recruitment call so far.

The recruitment thread on the forum worked so well that at level 1, we filled the guild so fast we had to create a second guild (Rad2) to temporarily host the players while waiting for us to raise the guild to Level 2.

And at level 2, the guild filled quite fast again. Recruitement slowed down a bit after Rad went level 3. But to my knowledge, WC call for recruitment was never necessary.

In all of the 3 weeks I've been in Rad, I've developed such a fervent loyalty to them. Please.

I appreciated RoC very much, for the way they mixed things up when everyone else was content to sit on their borders. Though I think Enrage is a load their mother's would have done better to swallow. Not to mention before the first fight with Radiance only about 15-20 members of Rad had left to join Enrage if that. Thats less than 10% of Rad members when Enrage beat Rad the first time.

The shift of power was happening before most of the Raddies came to Enrage. Im sure they made it quicker after more left.

Do you have any idea of what you are talking about? I mean seriously, I was the FIRST person to leave Radiance when about 30 of us left, which was not even a full week after Enrage was created. Now a little history lesson RoC's leader Hong decided to leave the game, so did ALOT of other core RoC members. He didn't want to pass leadership because that is his guild over a multigame platform. Now many RoC wanted to keep playing the game so they started Enrage. Now at the time enrage was starting many people in the server of different guilds decided they would like to give a new guild a shot so the Enrage faction grew quite large. Rad lost noone to Enrage at this point. When bidding came the next week Radiance again bid on a RoC land. I myself thought that was a very unstrategical move and also very boring. Rad had also posted a poll on the future of the guild around 80% of the guild voted to attack someone besides a dead faction. So the moment the bid on RoC was placed I left the guild. I joined Enrage because they were a new guild with a purpose and I had lots of friends there. Many other Rad members left at this time (because of the reasons above) and joined Enrage also. Now at this Enrage had yet to even fight a TW. When we won are first few TW and other guilds started having issues, Enrage was their answer. Enrage has almost no rules, we are here for a challenge, and to have fun. by the time we got around to actually fighting Rad we had almost a full guild. yes we have probably 30 members that came directly from Rad soooo. Almost all of them came before Enrage won its first battle.

Now please be so kind as to explain how that is jumping on the bandwagon? Yes RoC was strong but after losing alot of members to other games and guilds, Enrage was weaker than RoC ever was. Sonnestark: You seriously have no idea what your talking about. Why you think you have any insight into why I left Rad is beyond me.

I didnt leave to go from one powerhouse to another, Enrage wasnt a powerhouse when I got there (and I joined around the same time as the other approx 25 ex Rad members). Enrage didnt even own a territory when most of us got there! Ex RoC members make up the bulk of the numbers in Enrage but no one in the faction sees its members as ex this and ex that. We are Enrage and its the ability to work as a team with a great leader that makes us a "powerhouse".

Its sweet to see you defending Radiance, but reading your posts just points out that their recruiting choices are now as bad as their other choices of late.

Let me make things clear for you, when I say "Superpowers" that's not exclusive to any one faction. The particular target of that changes over time, first TE and Evo, then Rad, and now Enrage. And it is a bandwagon the way members seem to flow along with the shift in power. I don't really care why you or any one else left for Enrage, it's undeniably obvious the strongest members are moving to Enrage. All your goals and aspirations just happen to align there, as they did with Radiance before, without anything to do with their top dog status? Get the **** outta here.

As if I'm some Rad loyalist, you make a lot of ignorant assumptions, many people really are fans of building straw-targets to argue against. I've been in HT since Launch, and had little but contempt for the larger factions up until 3 weeks ago when a good friend of mine convinced me to join. She went off to Enrage, I didn't care to follow. Most of my time spent on HT I've been factionless, or in small lvl 1 factions. I never had much regard for large factions and their incessant drama and petty up-jumped sense of self-worth, and I still do not. "QQ," the word of some online tool, and you toss it around like it does anything more than belittle your own worth beyond this game. I really have nothing more than a broad sneer for the importance all of you place on TW's.

The real draw here for me is going on FB's or boss runs with friends and exploring this virtual space for amusement. Status or reputation here are less than nothing to me. Several groups of good friends just to goof off on here with, that's what it's about for me. Trying to take out a boss with a bunch of bow-wielding BM's and laughing no matter the outcome. That's what this game is about for me, just fun. Then to have some laughable **** from one of these big factions come along with "Ur armor is noob, go QQ because we're better" inspires a deep-felt pity within me for that person.

Radiance was is and always will be a TW faction. They place great importance on TWs.

It's easy to "miss the point" when 'the point' keeps changing based on what you can say about people who disagree with you. I do however agree that Torm and I are similar in many ways, perhaps why we're in the same guild. And if you were using my name as an insult, then I'm flattered that I've become so important as to be referenced to when you're pissed off and can't think of anything better to say.

And if you're playing the game just for fun, I don't know why you'd get so worked up over a bunch of forum posts. I play for fun, and yea, I like pissing people like you off who take the game to seriously.

Lastly it's true what Torm said; Enrage as it's start was much weaker than RoC. The core members of RoC were highest leveled and we lost a great number of them along with our guild name and our old leader. It is the efforts and friends we've made along the way that make us who we are today (in addition to several bandwagon people after we won against Rad a couple times I guess)

I randomly saw you in Archosaur and whispered you that a friend of mine wanted me to join. You were just glowing with admiration for Radiance. You gave me the link to the forums, told me how to fill them out and that an officer would get back to me for an interview. Ringing any bells here, bella? You even told me I could put you as a reference.

You should see the scathing remakrs I threw at Rawthorne and Pressa in one of the other threads, my contempt isn't exclusive to Enrage you ****ing moron. Unlike you, I'm not some fascist idiot to an online faction. It seems your loyalty is fluid and shifting, though I'll curse out someone I don't like in my faction as quickly as any other.

Why I'm still in Radiance? This my be a foreign concept to you, though I don't ditch at the slightest inconvenience I encounter. There are a few decent members here and a few I've already flamed, same with Enrage.

I was lvl 79 when I talked to you, and wanted to be 80 to improve my chances. Rad's minimum requirement was 60. And if you recall, the only reason I wanted to go there was to join Zeffira. Christ, it's a wonder you haven't wandered out into the street and been flattened by a bus for all the intelligence you hold.

And you're an idiot who can't even hold your own thoughts together. Hopefully a little criticism may help you to shape up.

As for the haiku itself - less venom, hate and mockery and more art, then you might make something nice. Tt started even funny and then turned abusive at the very end. i'd give 6 maybe 7/10.

And from the scarce info im getting Charity is probably having health problems or some other RL issue. You wouldn't want anyone to laugh at you for being in hospital instead of ingame would you.

Buddies? First I've heard of this.

Radiance and Enrage are nothing but a pile of self-serving online egoists, as I've said before they're built of the same mettle. I don't fight in Rad's TW's out of any loyalty, I just find it entertaining.

If I flame someone, those are my own words. If you expect me to be some advocate for Radiance with every breath I take, **** off. And if these **** are too involved in their pathetic online standing to take what I say as a representation of the hundreds of people that form a rival faction instead of the spiteful ranting of one person who feels contempt for them, that's their own problem.
