Dear Pwi,

I'm some what new and i got a question on Reputation. Any help would be very much appreciated.

So i was checking some people's gear out and I came across this one character who had this armor that had like nice options. Then at the bottom Where it usually says "quest reward" or "Manufactured by so and so" It said somthing else. (something like reputation reward i can't rememberb:surrender) Anyway it said it can be obtained at lvl 60 and the dude said he traded 3000 rep for it. I was wondering.. where do i get this ? the name of the armor was in yellow.. so i'm assuming it's legendary right ?? can anyone shed some light please ?

Thanks so much.

<3 gum.

    Thats rank armor.
Starting level 30 you can get a military rank. You need a certain amount of reputation to be able to get rank and the equipments that come with it.

    lvl30 - Rank1 - 300rep
    lvl40 - Rank2 - 1000rep
    lvl50 - Rank3 - 2500rep
    lvl60 - Rank4 - 5000rep
    and so on....

Not many people can get that kinda reputation. For e.g. I still have to get rank4 b:chuckle even though at lvl80 I could be getting rank 6.

hmmmm so i checked out the link on another page on reputation and u're right!! still the only one worth getting is at lvl 60. Once u hit 70 there's like HH armour.. So i guess it's juat a big waste of time yea ?

rank shirts(4/7?/?) are the only real option to have -channel (for robes) and -attack interval (for archers) which is quite a significant bonus

Yes but -3%? Is that really noticeable? When you have a skill that takes 3 sec channel time, now it takes 2.91 sec. channel time? That's like... nothing.

it adds up, i already have -9% just from sleeves and a necklace. if your armor is another -3 and your high end weapons come with -6 and you get 2 -3 rings...you end up with *thinks hard* -24% channeling. That makes a massive difference.

@OP I dont quite understand that "traded 3000 rep" thing cos rep cant trade. And rep armor is not yellow, its purple if im not mistaken. The only other colour is orange at the REALLY high rep gear. Maybe hes talking about the molds you make with the blood that drops from FB bosses?

I believe rank 3 and lower is 3 star (purple) items. Rank 4 has a yellow robe: Robe of the Miragemaster.

hmmmmm.. ah okay my bad.. not traded.. but he said he had to have 3000 rep to get it.

So i have like -6% channeling.. now i understand why it still takes for ever. bah

    I'm a cleric..so another question...

Does the amt of int u have affect the amt of magic dmg u do ?

oh and also is it better to shard with magic attack or phy def or hp shards ??

The molds sometimes just drop when you kill them. There is obviously some luck involved however.

Badges and dog tags are tradeable. Its one way to buy rep.
I don't know about mage armor, but heavy rep armor is golden at later levels. Rank armors do have an advantage in that they come much cheaper (coin wise) and have as good or better stats as the TT armors.

While molds drop from the bosses as well, you can manufacture certain legendary items from the various bloods you receive for helping with someone's Call to Duty (plus a few other materials).

the blood doesn't create molds.. it is used in some molds

i think there are like.. low level (lvl 40 i believe) items that can be made in the legendary forges with just xenobeast and claw blood.. but all the lvl 60+ legendary items need a mold + blood

you need to look under the last tab in the legendary forges in arch.. its like called other or something

Although those questions are a bit off-topic:
    [..]I'm a cleric..so another question...

Does the amt of int u have affect the amt of magic dmg u do ?
    Sure.
More INT => more magic dmg.
By the way, "Plume Shot" converts your magical dmg to physical dmg, so you effectively do physical dmg when using plume shot. (As an example: Otherwise you would have done zero dmg to the christmas snowman during that event because the snowman were immune to elemental dmg. And: "Dimensional Seal" would have no effect otherwise for plume shot, but it does.)
oh and also is it better to shard with magic attack or phy def or hp shards ??
Hm... always shard your weapons with damage shards, because there's no other way to increase your damage. Armor can only increase your resistance, not the damage. And of course, magic damage is best for clerics.

Regarding armor: Using compearable shards, increase in physical resistance or increase in HP has nearly the same effect: You will live about the same time longer. BUT keep in mind that HP shards do increase your lifetime also when attacked magically, not only physically.

    Hope this helps.

Don't worry about ever getting any equipment after Rank 4 because PWI has made sure it will never happen in time for it to make a difference. The best source of rep in the game is stamp drops. Darkness Stamps drop much more often in higher lvl dungeons... Well, they would except that all stamp drops have been removed from 69fb and up. These are the dungeons where ppl could have earned huge amounts of rep if they were willing to put in the farming time.
I got my Rank 4 armor (5000 rep) by lvl 67 in PWI by farming 59fb over and over. I did this because I knew that 59fb was the last place I'd be getting stamp drops. How are we going to get 10K for rank 5 without a good source of rep? Oh we'll eventually get it, but the gear will be useless to us by then. But then there is rank 6 (35K rep), rank 7 (100K rep) and finally rank 8 (200K rep). They may as well remove the gear from ranks 6, 7 and 8 just like they did the stamps because no one will get them.

what has made me buggy for months is the guy asking you to get him something like 50-100 wedding candies....ive never even seen one, never mind that many!

..and since they can only be made with wedding wine,

..which you can only get when you buy the wedding packs,

..which already has the bleeping candies in it....

    i wanna kill that guy

Everyone says that but I disagree. I have nearly 11k rep right now and I get it very fast. I'd have around 15k by now and still be level 85 but I decided to level instead.

How much coins did you spent so far on reputation? b:chuckle

BTW, 15k rep gives nothing. You'll still need 20k more to hit the 35k mark.

Realistically, hitting anything above 5k at the level the equipment would be most useful is impossible in the current state of the game.

I wouldn't say that. Rank 6 has level 99 stuff. Also, I had no trouble keeping up with rep requirements. I simply did not let myself level up. It's not like that's hard to do.

If you have to not level up to be able to gain enough reputation to be able to use the items at the right level, it prove that the reputation system is not working too well and is in serious need of some fixing.

I second it too. Or I third it, whatever. At level 47 I'm like 9 rep away from rank II, which was lvl 40 req. At this rate, by the time I will have 2,5k rep for rank III I will be level 60 or something, certainly not 50. And I do quite a few fb runs, not too many, but probably a bit more than most people my level. And I get lucky usually and get the darkness stamps, so I was not surprised to see people that got rank II at level 52/3. Ergo, something is wrong. A lillte bit. Maybe.

The reputation system IS broken. They broke it 6 months ago when they decided to remove stamp drops from every FB from 69 and higher. Then they promised that a new rep reward system was on the way (see GM response to my first post here http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=195311). Why did they remove the stamps before they were ready to implement the new system? We are still waiting over half a year later for this new rep system! "Keep waiting ppl..." That will be the response. "And don't worry about being compensated for 6 months of lost rep."
