text unreadable

i have installed new drivers, tweaked all setting, tried all combinations of settings, yet i constantly get horizontal lines through text in all dialouge boxes. any text displayed out of a container (chat window is also a container) works displays perfectly fine.

there is no other game which i have tried to date where this has been a problem.. so what's the solution?

    I'm going to need some more information from you. Go to Start, click on Run (or Search if using Vista), and type in dxdiag and press enter.

    Click on the Display tab, and then post here everything in the Device and Drivers boxes:

    The S3 graphics cards aren't really sufficient to play higher-end games such as Perfect World International; you're going to continue to have errors like this until you get a better video card.

    as i stated in my original post, all other higher end games work fine... wow, silkroad, magic world... and dozens of others i've tried but don't really care for.

    on a side note, robbed another pc of an ati raedon agp card, will be swapping it out when time permits

    The following are my personal opinions and not representative of PWE's.

    Via, S3 and Intel build budget-type chipsets are weak in 3d gaming, and/or rely on system RAM and CPU to power them, which drops performance and restricts users on what games that they can play.

    Go with nVidia or ATI if you can.

    The Pro Savage does not have the shader support among other things, to run the game properly, if at all.
    Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?
