As a new player to PWI, I'm interested in getting to know more people on my server. The Tele's flying around on my screen are a bit beyond my reach, however, and where my quests take me, the company is usually quite sparse. While I've been doing well on my own, and do enjoy solo work, I'm also fairly sociable and wouldn't mind having a few contacts here and there for days when I want more company than my pet ^x^

While I realize this is a PvP server and we can't all be good buddies here, I'm an amiable sort inclined to give being amicable a try. I chanced into my main Char's class (Venomancer) because I wanted a tail and the stats seemed balanceable enough between melee and magic, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I don't necessarily have to die when wandering on my own in the world. Nice bonus there. ^x^ My secondary Char is a Wizard called Lareish... not so much the solo type there but the better selection of ranged attacks appeals to me, and playing a support role every once in a while is refreshing. Of course, so is tanking. So you'll catch me dividing my time between the Chars ^x^

Now, I'm not looking to be adopted by any veterans or anything like that. No handouts, no coddling. I'm just wondering if somewhere on these forums there might be a few people I could meet up with who like to enjoy the game as a game - with all that entails considering this is a PvP server. I'm cautious when warming up to people but once you have my respect you're just about stuck with me because I tend to be the loyal sort. I may sound like a sweet little softy, (and I have been in the past) but don't underestimate my vicious streak either. It's small but I know where to find it when it'll be useful to me ;)

Now, a last note or two. I'm female. I'm married. I'm nearing 30. I will say up front that hitting on me is a surefire way to NOT earn my respect, though I'm tolerant about just about anything else that could come my way.

    Hey Merulz ^x^ Just gearing up for an all-day leveling session with my VM tomorrow, I was working with my Wizard yesterday :)

    And hello, Ruby! Don't worry, I'm good-natured and hard to rile, so an Angry Me isn't a common occurrence. I think I have a good balance of ambition and tolerance to survive here once I hit the PvP stage, without my brain or ego imploding XD

    *Temporarily imagines herself going on a random, uninstigated homicidal rampage in-game* Haha, nah. Not too likely, uber-villain isn't my style. Though I am looking forward to joining in on the TWs once my char levels become useful enough to my faction ^x^

    I just haven't leveled my Veno in the last week because I switched my focus to my Wizard and Cleric. I have an additional 32 levels in about a week between those two ;) Dividing my time across the two or three accounts means I don't get huge jumps from week to week on one of them, but I'm still working on settling into a preference. Then one of the characters will be leveled beyond the other two.

    I adore the ability of the Veno to solo but I prefer working as part of a team, so I've been working on leveling my support characters to be of more use to my friends, who play tank characters, and to my faction, which has plenty of Venos already. Either the Wizard or Cleric will end up being my primary instead of my Veno, I just haven't taken a preference yet among them.

    When I started posting on the forums, I only had the veno, though, so I've kept her as my avatar to avoid confusion as I wander from thread to thread. I'm not going to keep switching names just to show off my levels ;)
